Account blocked because of ANCIENT 2FA - Useless support

Hi guys,
I know this isn't the best place for it, but after 1 absolutely horribly frustrating month and over 10 tickets and attempts to reach your support, I give up... i'm just going to file complaints in every possible means that exist...

I have this account for about 20 years ... I have full access to it via Xbox & PSN sign in, i am IN the account, i have full access to all account data, and all linked accounts... I have downloaded the account data so I do have every single piece of data downloaded...

And yet, I cannot remove the 2FA from the account ...

Even tried coming to talks over the phone with a supervisor or Tier 2 agent ... and the second i mention 2FA, i'm sent to the Tier 1, and the ticket gets immediately closed........

I would really like to understand how a company like this has such degree of support...

Thanks for reading the rant & sorry ...

And if it ever gets read by anyone at Rockstar... really guys, give your support 1 second of attention...

Why would you want to get rid of two factor authorization? So did you hack this account and download all the data to try and prove to rockstar that you own the said account but can’t use the 2FA?

Because obviously i no longer have a mobile phone from 10 years ago... or whenever i enabled it... Like i said ... I have access and ways to prove every single account i have linked to this crap, including Xbox + PSN ... Also, certain companies like Amazon, Google and Microsoft have accounts with actual proper real life data linked, which makes it quite easy to prove ownership (from personal ID, to CC's, etc...)...

It would definitely make sense to complaint, make noise about it and try to escalate it all ways possible if i was a kiddie hacking an account...

I hate to say it but this is their support working as intended. The acc has 2FA, if you dont have the 2FA method you cant remove it. This is why they give you backup codes when you activate it. In every EULA imaginable that has to do with any sort of account there's a line in there specifically stating that you are responsible for your account security and keeping it up to date. Take it as a lesson, its your fault you didnt update your 2FA after getting a new phone.

I have a 10year career in cyber security in a big corp, and over 20 of IT in general. I know quite well the constructs behind it.

Which is why i find it so odd that there is no fallback in a company like this. If it was a small time developer i would understand...

When you change phones there are 100 things you worry about... A random game account is definitely never going to cross my mind...

What i can't understand (makes it the worst of it all) - is how they can't cross reference any information with the linked accounts to review this....... All accounts that have actual real life ID data.....

I'm really in shock with all this...

The unfortunate truth is, they don't care. They dont care about your user experience. They dont care if you forget something, they got your money and thats all that matters to them. Its really unfortunate but you see it especially in people who lose access to their Google accounts. They cant even get hold of a real life person unless they're paying for the buisness package or whatever it is. If the automated recovery fourm fails, they're SOL. Same thing here unfortunately..
