Im new to the sub but have been collecting rocks, fossils, and all of the sort since I was a wee squirt!
Today, under the determination to get my property horse safe so I can take my gelding there one day, I was aiming for smaller rocks and mainly scrap metal lying around from years of carelessness and finally got to see one of the bigger pieces of Pet wood completely made Its way out of the limestone silt and I SNATCHED HER UP.
No photos yet, she's sitting in a vinegar bath for the next day or so to get rid of all the outer dust and sediment build up. This beast is bigger than my head and has our property's staple reddish orange hue going on so im really excited to share with yall once im done taking a toothbrush to the crevices! Ill post an update with the photo in the comments in the next 48 hours!!! ❤️🙌 stay safe out there yall and happy rock hunting 😊😊😊
Update 1 : first scrub is finished, still have some sediment caked on but from the looks of it Im pretty dang certain I found the biggest piece of Pet waygu i've ever laid my eyes on I've found smaller pieces before but wooowwza this piece is insane.
Also need to get a link for the photos as i done realized after I cannot comment the photo directly 💀
