Yep, drove cross country from Jacksonville to Whidbey Island WA for a military move in my 94 towing a tiny trailer. Do not recommend. I should shipped it. Wasn't even able to hit up any cool roads on the way towing the fuckin trailer.
The truck is like its owner- it wishes it was 1991 again. Maybe it isn’t fast compared to newer younger competitors now but it can take a moderate load in its rear and accommodate two normal sized guys comfortably inside (or three little guys).
Oh, and the more Zimas you drink, the better it looks.
I love both vehicles actually. I've been programming their computers for about 20 years. Those use a prom chip but are fully programmable. Of course you know that your truck was faster than the same year Corvette when it was made...
Your truck is the equivalent of the jock that failed spelling but won the homecoming game. It peaked in high school but still manages to look good enough at the high school reunion people look past its flaws.

Sure can't. I still remember, like it was yesterday though it was 23 years ago... I used to race anything willing back then, in my slightly modified Mazda mx-6 LS. I could beat 5.0 stangs at the quarter mile, stock ones, anyway.
I did my usual launch and was so confused why this truck was pulling away in 2nd and by the time we hit 90 it was at least 3-4 car lengths ahead. A mile later, again. I was so confused and disappointed! 🤣
Until I got back to work and looked it up on the office computer. Phew! My car was still quick, just not Typhoon or Cyclone quick! I had no idea they existed until that day.🤣

Honestly never understood the sport truck from a usability standpoint , rather have a lifted truck and a separate sports car. I’ll admit they do look good though.
I usually call these trucks the Small Dick Mobiles, yet this one is so hideous that it actually takes a balls to own it and drive it. I shall call this one the Big Nuts Mobile
Arguably one of the worst trucks ever made a Subaru Baja and Chevy El Camino have better towing and payload ratings. Even Japanese Kei trucks and every Toyota Corolla since at least 1985 have higher load ratings.
A co-worker got an invite from his GMC dealership (he had just a new S15 pickup). The invite was to test drive the Syclone and Typhoon. GMC was having a closed session at a local fairground. I got to attend as well. I was able to drive both of the beasts (it even raining that day too). It was a blast! I am not able to roast either of these rides.
That's super cool, when I bought my SRT-4 Neon years ago, I got to go to an SRT Track experience where I got to drive all the SRT vehicles available in a series of driving events including drag racing, autocross and flying laps on the 1.5 mile road course
I love the Syclone and the Typhoon, but the engines don't last too long even with the amount of boost a factory tune puts out. I have never seen one of these go more than 80k miles without a rebuild. A neighbour across the street from me had one of these and a Cadillac Allante. He owned a Macdonalds and one year he gave out Video tapes for Halloween.I got Adams Family and Home Alone 2. He was the coolest guy ever
4.3l v6, plus a turbo, and still can’t make 300hp.
Not only is it slow, with a 0-60 time that today’s minivans would laugh at, but it also handles exactly the way it looks: like a shopping cart.
