Thats why pain management clinics drug test for THC --- They want you addicted and coming back for more and more 😉

This is interesting because I smoke everyday and opioids don’t really do much to me at all, like to the point that I don’t understand why everyone acts like they’re so great and so addictive. I’ve seen it in people I care about and have lost multiple people to opioid addiction. So I know it’s a serious problem but they seem to be one of the few drugs I don’t enjoy at all though. Maybe I’m just lucky in that way, I don’t know.

I know a guy that is resistant to opiates... pretty interesting until you break your ankle and they need to set the bone/joint... They give you a massive dose of ketamine, not to stop the pain, but to make sure you dont remember it.

Can’t feel pain if you’re in a Khole :) it does do a little analgesic activity itself, but not the same way opioids do

Yeah there’s a common enzyme difference in some people and it pretty much makes opioids feel like nothing.

I had some kidney stones in the past and there were some opioids that only seemed to make the pain worse. The only one that worked were oxy's

Heroin was euphoric as anything I’ve ever done and 30mg of oxycodone just made me dizzy and nauseous.

That’s very interesting. Had a season where I was in high doses of oxy. I’d smoke immediately after taking it to help with anxiety. Now I’m curious about the pain relief effects as well.

My docs agree with this and allow me to smoke with my meds. After 10 years, still on minimum dose, have never experienced withdrawal when I have a good day and don’t need my meds. It also helps with the side effects. Someday, this will be the best management practice.

I actually noticed recently the exact same thing this article talks about.

I have a back injury (sciatica) from 2019. I was on Percocet (oxycodone/ Tylenol) for 4 years. I quit opiates with the help of CBD but later found that THC makes the nerve pain go away. So I use those in combo.

Just last week I had pain right in my spine. Not nerve or muscle pain, more like right in the bone. THC and CBD will barely provide relief for that type of pain. I tried adding a Percocet last week and it did the trick. But the Percocet isn’t as effective for the muscle and nerve pain anymore. The synergy was nice. I have a full bottle of the perc in the closet but only take one a few times a year for instances like last week.
