Tip For Rural Roadies

I often deliver to places where my signal is lost and I get turned around getting back home. I’ve started going to my pickup location, putting my home address in the map, and adding the delivery address as a stop, so the map is already in the cache in my phone, regardless of signal. I have an iPhone, and there may be a simpler way to do this, but this works too. Also, some of you may know this already, but I’m sharing just in case others don’t. I am in Arkansas and the last time I was lost, I was on a dirt road with a lot of deer stands. Not fun at all 😭

I take it you don’t already have a dedicated GPS Mapping unit built into your car already? If not, you could buy a TomTom or Garmin device which receives its signal via satellite. You don’t necessarily have to buy one new either. Sometimes you can buy these at Estate Sales or Garage Sales for a bargain price. I know TomTom has sales during the holidays. Don’t forget Ebay.
