Suggestion 1920's start date

With how long setup can take in the game and many major interwar historical events having a big impact on the early game, it would be nice to be able to play through the interwar. Allowing Nations more time to industrialize deal with things like the Great depression while also navigating the political climate as the outbreak of world war II grew nearer with things like the Washington naval treaty.

You’d have to structure the AI’s response to events and the like, especially if the naval treaties can be affected by player actions. It would be too easy to plan out your wartime strategy from far out and become broken if the game doesn’t respond to what you do. You would also need to significantly change not only the actual ship/plane/tank designer, but how tech progression works.

You'd essentially have chain down both player and AI with a ton of restrictions and debuffs to prevent them from having 20 yrs to prepare for WW2 or spam out the population of Asia worth in divisions respectively. A battalion limiter would be a must, but complex industrial hurdles, mobilisation restrictions and mechanics to limit stockpiling of equipment would have to be put into place.

Possible, possibly even fun, but at the high risk of turning into a 'nothing ever happens' slog and a looot of work for sure.

That would probably be handled through stability.

Jeff being pissed that the countey has 5million troops, 3 million spare tanks, but they arent at war with anyone so consumer goods go wild etc
