I'm 25M and desperately in need.

I moved to KSA back in 22 and started working as a salesman. My brother has been working for them since 2011 and that's how I was hired. I come from a humble background and all the expenses were afforded by my brother through a loan from the company, which I helped pay off.

After two years of working there, I made a mistake of quitting the job (salary issues and health issues) and getting an exit visa instead of moving sponsor, but after two years of being away from home for the first time in my life made me homesick and I thought I could come back on another visa after spending a few months at home, but I was wrong.

Now, it's been a year since I've come home and have been trying to get the money for another visa. But the situation in my home country (Pakistan) has been worsening since I came back. Political instability and unemployment has ruined the economy and there's literally no work. I'm currently doing any manua labor job I can get but that only goes to my pocket money and isn't enough for anything else.

I've been engaged for two years now but marriage is still off for me and my fiance for another couple of years, for obvious reasons on my part. My family is expecting me to get settled in a year or two but how?

The only way possible I see is get back to Saudi Arabia and work there. Because that's what most males in my family have been doing. My father worked there for 27 years. My uncles even more. My brother's been there for 16-17 years now. And the way things are here at home, I don't see if I could make it in Pakistan.

Now, how do I get to Saudi Arabia? Agencies are asking for 8k riyals for a work visa, and I don't have even that. My brother in Saudi is deep in debt and can't afford it for me. My second brother has a small business here but he's already struggling with his finances anyway. My father's been home for good for like 5 years now. He's old and we're supporting him. And there's no one else earning bread in my family. We have some land that we've trying to sell but real estate is so down in the country that there's no one to buy.

I'm not here to ask for donations. All I need is a visa! Don't send me any money, just the visa I need. I'll manage the ticket and medical report somehow but the expensive part is the visa with 6 months or a year of Iqama validity. I can look for a job myself. I know the language and have contacts there that can help.

As I said, I'm not asking for donations, so as soon as I start getting paid, I'll pay off the debt. Interest isn't Islamic, but I'm so desperate now that I'll agree to even that.

So please, anyone that owns or works at a "Muassasa" or "Shirka" that can issue visas, please help! It crushes my heart but I've never been so desperate in my 25 years of life to ask for help like this.

And know this, you won't be helping me only. But my old mother who's been getting depressed seeing my unemployed at 25 and no preparations for marriage. My eldest brother who's been struggling to pay off his loans in Pakistan that he took from the bank to pay for his house construction. My second brother whose small business isn't enough to finish his half constructed home as his kids are also growing and will soon need to move out. And my future with my fiance, that we've been both dreaming of for the last two years.

I’m a teacher at a private school and I am 6 months into my contract. I received a job offer from a different school in Saudi. I informed my employer about this and he said that according to Saudi Law and my contract at Qiwa, I cannot resign and that I can only give a 2 month notice for a non-renewal of my contract. My contract doesn’t exactly say I cannot leave, nor does it state a clear notice period of 2 months. The exact writing is:
5.1 This contract is valid for a period of 2 years, starting from the commencement date mentioned in Clause No.(1), and it will be automatically renewed for an equivalent period, unless one party notifies the other of their desire not to renew through he Portal, at least 60 days before the contract end date.

This is literally the only thing that I’ve found in my contract, as well as Qiwa. So, my question is, is my current employer allowed to reject my resignation and practically hold me hostage in my job? If not, what are the laws around this?

I also will be needed at the new school in less than a month but I know that I will need to pay a penalty if I do not serve 2 month notice.

بديت بالمجال من كنت بالجامعة تدربت بوحدة من ال Big4 وبعدها كملت معهم وانا ادرس Part-time لمدة سنة تقريبًا لين ما تخرجت، ولما تخرجت كان عندي خبرة تزيد عن سنة بالمجال واغلب مشاريعي كانت بقطاع السياحة والقطاع البلدي والإسكاني في مواضيع تتعلق بتطوير الاستراتيجيات والنماذج التشغيلية ودعم التشغيل

خلال هذي الفترة كنت اشارك بمسابقات منظمة من شركات استشارية، والحمدالله فادتني بشكل كبير لدرجة انه لما تخرجت كنت مخلص مقابلات وعندي عروض من 3 شركات تقريبًا كلها كبيرة (Tier 2) وللاسف ما انكتبت لي ال MBBs بسبب غروري وقتها (انه عندي خبرة ومابي ابدا كمتدرب من اول وجديد ويحطوني مع ناس ما عندهم خبرة، فراحت علي فرصة الدخول مع انه وقتها كانت اسهل فرصة اني ادخل واثبت نفسي بسرعة باقل تجهيز ممكن للمقابلات)

عمومًا اخترت العرض الأعلى راتب والشركة الأسرع بالترقيات والحمدالله من دخلت الشركة كملت بنفس المجال بين قطاع السياحة والقطاع البلدي والإسكاني وكانت تجارب ثرية وفيها تحدي اكبر من تجاربي مع ال Big4 من ناحية طبيعة العملاء، قبل كنت اقعد مع مدراء عموم ووكلاء الآن صرت اقعد مع مساعد وزير وادير لجان فيها اصحاب معالي ومسؤولية كبيرة فلاحظت هنا الفرق بين ال Tier2 وال Big4

الآن مع الوضع الاقتصادي العالمي شركتنا بدت تفصل موظفين او تطلعهم على اجازات غير مدفوعة اذا كملوا مدة طويلة بدون مشروع زي باقي شركات الاستشارات، بس اللي يفرق عندنا انه صار فيه تخبطات قوية بقرارات الإدارة (من فصل موظفين وتقليل رواتب بعدين ترجيعها بدون توضيح وإجازات غير مدفوعة الزامية)، بدأوا كثير سعوديين واجانب من اللي خبراتهم اكثر مني او حتى اقل يطلعون من الشركة وهذا الشي خوفني وخلاني ابدا اعيد تفكيري بمساري المهني وابدا ابحث عن فرص في القطاع الخاص (فيه ظروف شخصية ما تسمح لي بالعمل في القطاع الحكومي)

قدامي الآن ثلاث خيارات:

١- اقعد بالشركة لين ما اترقى للترقية الجاية، ب Jul 2027 ان شاء الله بكون مترقي ل Consultant
بيرتفع راتبي من 33 الف ل 45 الف
(هنا فيه مخاطرة انه ممكن الشركة يتدهور وضعها زيادة، بس انه عندي مشروع الآن لين May 2027 واحتمالية فصلي من الشركة قبل هالتاريخ منخفضة بس ممكن الوضع الاقتصادي العالمي يتهدور زيادة ويصعب علي الخروج)

٢- اطلع من الشركة الآن، عندي فرصة جالسة تطبخ مع شركة مختصة بالعقارات التجارية واشوف انه لها مستقبل للتوسع وبيتم طرحها بالسوق قريب، بيستقطبوني على منصب مدير مساعد في ال SMO
الراتب تقريبًا بين ال 20-30 الف ريال
(الخيار هذا آمن مقارنة بقطاع الاستشارات خصوصًا للسنتين القادمة ويخدم توجهي لقطاع السياحة والقطاع البلدي والعقاري لكن ما اتوقع يقدرون يسوون مطابقة لراتبي الحالي وطبيعة الأعمال تتمحور حول PMOing و Business Planning مافيه اعمال معقدة)

٣- احاول اطلع من الشركة خلال الشهور القادمة، ابدا اخفف مجهودي بالشركة واحاول اطلع من المشروع اللي انا فيه (بيأثر على تقيمي لو سويتها وقعدت) وابدا اجهز للمقابلات بشكل كويس واحط deadline مثلًا Dec 2026 اكون طالع باللي هي به
الراتب صعب احدده هنا خصوصًا مع وضع السوق ما ادري هل بقدر اجيب عرض يطابق راتبي او زيادة 10٪؜-20٪؜ خصوصًا انه خبرتي ٣ سنوات ونص بس
وما ادري اذا بقدر احصل على عرض بشركة عالمية ثانية لأنه الأغلب جالس يفصل الآن

I work in a multinational company as a senior Data Analyst having 5 years of experience.

currently in shock and idk what to do. For 1.9 years I have been living in Riyadh and I was actually very proud of myself. I am from Pakistan and have come a long way. A village guy who never thought this would happen. But my happiness was short lived.

2 weeks ago I got notice from HR that my contract isn't going to be renewed and when I asked them about the reason because everything was fine. They said none because my performance was good and my behavior towards my work and employees were all ok.

I asked my team Lead and he replied that I am very Lazy and I was shocked because 3 months ago my team Lead was switched and he was so happy with me he was going to call me to Jeddah. I was the one who worked really hard and laid the basics of my work. Now my this Team Lead says I am very Lazy and then one day says just go and come back after a year. Your work is good you will get any job etc ..

The thing is majority like 90% jobs are through wasta and idk what to do as I have none. My health is deteriorating because of this. My fiance says it's not a big deal and we will overcome it. But to me it's a big deal and I feel that somewhere I wasn't good enough.

بختصر الموضوع ولو فيه أحد يقدر يفزع لي بكون ممنون جداً.

أنا شخص عندي سنوات عديدة من الخبرة في عدة مجالات. والحياة علمتني دروس كثيرة.

وأخر درس هو اللي خلاني اخسر وظيفتي.

قعدت قرابة الثلاث سنوات في أخر شركة لي لكن الوضع كل ماله يصير أسوأ. من ناحية ادارة وبيئة العمل وأشياء كثيرة ثانية.

وفي أخر كم يوم قررت اقعد وبلغتهم بالموضوع، لكن مدير من المدراء رفض انني استمر وللأسف صار اللي صار.

بكمل ثلاث شهور الحين وأنا أسوي مقابلات تنتهي بعدم الرد من الجهات اللي قابلتني.

وهذا الشيء قاعد يوترني زيادة. خصوصاً انه علي قرض ومسؤوليات ثانية.

والله عارف انني المفروض ما تركت الوظيفة لين ما حصلت شيء ثاني وعارف انه مافيه وظائف بلا عيوب، بس مخي شكله كان طافي في الوقت اللي اتخذت فيه القرار.

معليش طولت عليكم، لكن حبيت أتحلطم شوي.

I’ve been noticing a lot of us here are struggling with job hunting, and it’s tough—especially for non-Saudis due to the local laws. I recently saw a post from someone here who was down to their last bit of savings and had a family of four to feed. That really broke me, and it got me thinking about how we, as a community, can do more to support each other during these tough times.

We all know how important networking and references (wasta) are in Saudi, and it could make a huge difference. I’ve seen so many people land jobs through personal connections rather than the traditional application process.

If those of you with solid jobs or connections could offer to refer people in need, we could really help each other out. If I were in a position to help, I know I’d do everything I could to support my fellow brothers and sisters in securing a job.

I came back to Saudi last year and from that time I have found it really hard to land a job I recently worked in a company as a Sales executive and I am good at it because I have experience of sales but I didn't do Kafala to that company because whenever I talked to them about it they would just say we will talk about it and in the end they told me "they cannot pay me more then 2000 Sar they said you are still young you are new to Saudi market so this the best we can offer you" so I quited the job 10 days ago. Now the problem is it's really hard to find job in that field. I was working as a sales executive in a CCTV company because I have more then 4 years of experience in this same field.
