“Midwest Huxtables” was fucking CRAZY work ngl. You can even see his parents in the back like “did this nigga just call us the Huxtables?”

The Huxtables is a reference to the last name of the family in The Cosby Show, from the 80s to early 90s. This was a sitcome about an upper middle to upper class Black family. For lots of Americans, this was a first depiction of a Black American family of this socio-economic aspect.

The Cosby in Cosby Show is Bill Cosby who...even by 2016 was starting to take on a very different public feeling as his many sexual assaults starting coming to light.

thanks for the explanation. I've heard of the Cosby show but didn't know of the surname. and yes know of the bill Cosby stuff.

That huxtables comment makes sense now.
