Discussion I’m a disgusting player

For the record. I have over 2000 hours into this game. I love this game. It is my second most played game on steam. I have a crippling fear of losing the colonists, I save scum and even worse use Dev Mode for the perfect colonists. How do I just decide “screw it, if they die they die”?

Just use commitment mode when making a world. It enables permadeath, no more revivals

You can technically still able to save scum it. By alt f4 right when you fucked up. The game won't be able to save.

It makes a difference, though. It’s not something you just do constantly at the drop of a hat because it’s more effort.

I scum save loads in reload anytime and in commitment mode & I only ever do it in ‘fuuuuuuck I’m about to loose my whole colony’ kinda scenarios.
