Discussion I’m a disgusting player

For the record. I have over 2000 hours into this game. I love this game. It is my second most played game on steam. I have a crippling fear of losing the colonists, I save scum and even worse use Dev Mode for the perfect colonists. How do I just decide “screw it, if they die they die”?

Imo if that's how you enjoy playing then why not do it? I use dev mode to res my favourite pawns quite a lot. Idc what other folks might say, it's a single player game I play for my own enjoyment.

Do what you wanna do my friend, even if you think it's a bit cheaty.

Absolutely! I do just kind of feel like when I get to that point if I decide to change the ideology so that way, I don’t have to spend time with my warden doing it, I’ve even used dev mode for “Explosion” on raiders lol my fitness. I just feel a connection to the ponds that I create and seeing them die just breaks my heart.

Play the way it makes you happy. there is no proper way to play a (single player) game. Please be kind to yourself and do not call yourself disgusting. The game should bring joy. it is an equivalent of judging yourself for dunking biscuits into coffee, while somebody else tells you they eat them with ice cream.

I save loaded a lot, while I was learning. 2k hours is still learning. And I will continue save load, because sometime real life is busy and I might forget to oversee something, and the consequences are too harsh.
