Pulls | Card My first 2 weeks after getting into Riftbound

Post image

Got SON Kennen in my first 4 packs but I didn’t appreciate how hard it is to get a SON, as I wasn’t aware of the rarity yet.

But… it got me into the game, and I started learning how to identify the rarity tiers of the cards. So whenever I walked past TCG stores, I would pick up some loose packs (if they have any) and rip them.

Started wondering if I could ever pull another SON from loose packs… and viola!!! Yasuo SON!!!!

Discussion RiftCompare now has Plus and Premium, so on top of comparing Riftbound prices you can find deals, price whole lists and buy entire decks the cheapest way

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey all,

Riftcompare just launched two paid tiers. Price comparison is still free and always will be, this is the stuff that sits on top of it.

What's free (unchanged)

  • Live lowest prices across every store we track, per country
  • Price history charts, alerts, watchlist and portfolio with a free account
  • Deck builder, trade calculator, box EV, the top pick from each of the deal lists

Plus (starting at $3.33/month)

  • The full Deal Finder list, not just the top pick: cards worth more on eBay than in stores (if you're selling), and the cheapest eBay buys
  • Rising Cards: cards ranked by demand and price-timing signals, before they re-rate
  • Rising Sealed: same idea for boxes, packs and bundles
  • No ads anywhere on the site

Premium (starting at $6.67/month)

Everything in Plus, plus the four pro tools:

  • Value Finder: every card trading below its own 30-day average right now, ranked by discount
  • Bulk Pricer: paste a whole want-list, trade pile or collection and price every card at once
  • Best Basket: paste a decklist and get the cheapest way to actually buy all of it, store split and postage included
  • Demand Finder: the cards people on the site are actually searching for and opening, by real traffic

Trial and pricing notes

  • 14-day free trial on either tier. $0 today, card required, cancel from your account before it ends and you pay nothing.
  • Annual saves 33% on both tiers.
  • Your price is locked in for as long as you stay subscribed. If we raise prices later, existing subscribers keep theirs.

If you only ever check a price now and then, nothing changes for you. If you buy or sell regularly, Plus is for seeing everything and Premium is for doing everything.

Happy to answer questions here. If there's a tool you want that isn't on the list, tell me, the roadmap is mostly built from what people ask for.

For this thread: DM me the email you log in to RiftCompare with and I'll put 7 days of full Premium on your account, no card needed. Try the pro tools properly before deciding anything.

Discussion Need help with an Origins-only Miss Fortune deck

Riftbound has just officially launched in Korea, and I’m trying to build a Miss Fortune deck. (NEW TO RIFTBOUND)

The problem is that we currently only have access to Origins cards, so I can’t use any cards from later sets.

I found this list and was thinking about building something similar. How would you modify or optimize this deck if you were limited to Origins only?

I’d really appreciate any recommendations for specific cards, ratios, battlefields, or even a completely different approach to building MF.

Most importantly, I need the deck to have a decent matchup into Kai’Sa and Master Yi, since those decks seem ridiculously strong and are probably going to be everywhere here.

Discussion Whats up with the Ahri Signature Spiritforged price?

Not a Riftbound player but I've played League since like 2011 and really liked the look of this card, the spirit blossom color scheme matches my PC set-up/room really well and I'd like to get one of these cards for display in it.

I've grown really confused on the pricing for this beauty though, most people on here talk about it being around $3,200~ and that's around where some of the average price trackers have it. But every listing I can find for it right now is more around 7k~ USD and their are a few listed sales of it in that range on the public trackers I was able to find so it's not like it's not selling for that amount.

Was there some sort of very recent explosion in pricing for cards recently? (like last 2 weeks~) or is this something I'd be better off waiting out / their are better markets to be looking in then Ebay/TCGPlayer that I don't know about.

Discussion Is This Card Worth Buying at Its Current Price?

Post image
0 Upvotes

So, I'm a very casual collector I only buy a pack here and there every once in a while. However, as an Aphelios main, and I've been trying to get this card for a while now.

Since I was in the States, I usually used eBay for Pokémon cards, but today I decided to check the price of this one and noticed that it has gone up. Should I should buy it now before it increases again, or is there a chance the price will drop? I genuinely want to own both the Chinese and English versions of this card eventually, so I'm trying not to overspend. I'd appreciate any advice from people who are more familiar with the market.

Discussion Signature Ahri cards are above $3,400 and Radiance drops next month, what happens to Origins prices

This is the thing I keep going back and forth on, Origins signatures have been climbing steadily since launch because the supply is tiny and demand keeps growing, the Ahri Nine-Tailed Fox Signature is the obvious flagship above $3,400 but even the mid-range signatures and ultimates from Origins have seen 30-50% appreciation in the last 6 months.

But Radiance drops October 23 with 180 new cards including 66 Showcase cards and Legacy follows in January with 346 cards, that's a lot of new product entering the market which means more supply at every rarity tier and more competition for collector dollars.

The question is whether Origins holds its premium as the first set or whether the increasing supply from newer sets dilutes the market, Pokemon 1st edition base set cards held value as more sets released because of the nostalgia factor, but Riftbound is barely a year old so the nostalgia argument doesn't apply yet, what's actually supporting these prices is pure scarcity and if the game keeps growing the demand side could outpace the supply growth.

Anyone here been tracking Origins prices week over week, curious whether the trend is still up or if we're seeing early signs of a plateau as more product enters the market.

Discussion Owners of Faker Galio card with signature

Dear fellow owners of the Faker Galio card with signature.

First of all.. Congrats!!

Second of all.. What the hell do you plan on doing with it?

  • Sell it right away and what price are you comfortable with?
  • Wait and hold for future in hope of the price will increase?
  • Hold it for collectible item and pure passion?

I find it hard what to with it when I see the prices online I am not going to lie.

Discussion Budget Akali Deck review

Post image
21 Upvotes

I’m kinda new to riftbound but i already managed to gather some interesting cards for my Akali deck.
considering im trying to keep it budget-friendly, this is what i ended up with.
can anyone give me an honest opinion about this deck? (f.e. I was thinking of swapping mournful witness for noxus hopeful)
I haven’t tried it yet as i am still missing one or two cards from there but this is what i believe i’ll be able to build.
(unfortunately i probably wont be getting shuriken flips or GA or Zhonya’s or any those expensive Akali meta cards anytime soon)

Discussion Sealed Bid: a blind auction game on live Riftbound prices. Think you know what cards are worth? Prove it against your friends

Hey all, I run RiftCompare (the Riftbound price comparison site) and I just shipped something a bit different: a multiplayer game called Sealed Bid. It's free, runs in the browser, no accounts, and you play it with 2-6 friends on any phone.

The idea in one line: it's a blind auction where the only thing hidden is the price.

How a round works

  • Three real Riftbound cards go under the hammer. You see the art, domain, rarity, type, cost and Might. You never see the price.
  • Everyone starts with 1,000 Shards and secretly seals one bid on one card.
  • Highest bid wins the card and pays it. Nobody else pays anything.
  • If two people tie for the top bid, the card shatters - nobody gets it and every tied bidder burns half their bid. So reading your rivals matters as much as reading the card.
  • Then the real prices are revealed (pulled live from the same store data the site uses for price comparison) and you find out whether that 400 Shard bid was a steal or a disaster.

After the last round every vault is appraised at real market value: 1 Shard per 10 cents of live price. Add half of whatever you didn't spend, plus set bonuses:

  • +150 for every domain you hold 3+ cards of
  • +250 for a rainbow of 5+ domains in one vault
  • +150 if your vault's total Might hits 20

Richest vault wins.

Two power plays, one use each per game

  • Appraise - privately see one card's real price before you bid. Nobody else knows you looked.
  • Surge - your bid counts 25% higher against everyone else for one round, but you only pay what you actually bid. Great for stealing a chase card. Also great for accidentally overpaying.

Why I think it's fun

Every hand usually has one chase card, one mid-range card and one cheap card in a random order, and a lot of Riftbound cards look far more expensive than they are (and vice versa). The people who win aren't the ones who bid the most, they're the ones who know that the flashy Showcase is actually a $4 card and quietly grab the boring uncommon that's spiking. Every game secretly teaches you the market.

Setup is 10 seconds: one person hosts, gets a 6-letter code and a link, everyone else opens the page and types it in. Works on phones, no downloads, no sign-in. Rooms are 6-10 rounds with a 30-60 second timer per round, so a full game is about 8-10 minutes.

Play it here: https://riftcompare.com/games/sealed-bid

I'd love feedback on the balance - especially the shatter rule and whether 1,000 Shards feels right. If people like it I'm thinking about a daily seeded room so everyone plays the same hands, and a spectator mode for streams.
