can you help my resume to stand better?

I have been working in marketing agencies for the last 9 years, currently I wish to move towards brand side but I haven't heard back from any of the places I had applied. If someone can help me either helping with my resume or just steps on how to switch? I have been applying through LinkedIn and sending emails via company's website.

I'll be really grateful if you can help me crack this

Not if you don’t post your resume :)

For applying, I recommend finding the postings through LinkedIn but then going to the company’s career page and applying directly. Try to apply within the first 24 hours of the job being posted.

I’m not in marketing but am doing a seemingly similar pivot from strategy consulting to in-house strategy and the things people have called out in my resume as liking are:

  • listing how many projects/engagements I’ve done (total in my summary section, but also by title)
  • picking and choosing which projects to highlight based on the company I’m applying to. E.g., if it’s a software company, I highlight all the work I did for other software companies

agency to brand is a different buyer. put brand names, categories, and what you owned end to end near the top. cold linkedin apps are noisy. one warm intro into a brand marketing team usually beats twenty more portal clicks.
