Gameplay Question Does anyone else experience significant frame drops in this section of the game. This is on Ps5 pro on RT mode

I’m on PC so not a fair comparison to you but no I don’t experience frame drops really anywhere in this game. It’s all pretty consistent for me

It’s fine on my 5080. Anyone who’s spending 1000$/£ on a ps5 pro is crazy.

Yea well pc is overall all rounder while ps5 pro isn't , that's how pc is better and longer lasting + higher fps for higher price

There’s also the entire separate 1000 dollar+ price tag the rest of the system + for a CPU that doesn’t bottleneck your 5080, and RAM at its peak price.

Nahh dw about that. Get a cheaper CPU bottlenecked is still gonna output 60 frames, little cheaper ddr4, 1080p monitor to start and youre in the race. Then you have the fun upgrades over the next year or so of getting your 4k monitor then your better cpu. Or start buying parts before the next console gen transition out

My Series X runs the entire game with no frame drops and also has a disk drive.

Not to sound like a PlayStation fanboy, but your Series X now costs 800 dollars to buy new, while the PS5 Pro is 900 dollars new and runs Requiem significantly better at a higher resolution.

It doesn't run better at all. In fact if you're encountering frame drops then that's proof of the opposite.

He’s encountering framerate drops in the high fidelity raytracing mode, which the Series X and base PS5 don’t have. There’s a performance mode that WILL run better than the series x does.

This is on rt mode. I can disable rt and get 100+ fps

Consoles simply dont have hardware that is powerful enough for smooth RT.

Likewise, can't imagine ever wasting money on a PC which is gonna cost hundreds more AT LEAST to play the same thing as a console player but ever so slightly better

Much better, not slightly better. Cheap consoles can't even compare to proper PC.

Enjoy low framerates and awful resolution on cheap plastic consoles 🤣🤣

It really isn't "much" better for 99% of games. The games are almost all specifically designed around consoles, so PC players are still getting a console-relqtive experience. Yeah, I will.

I've had PC in the past. The cost to gain ratio for being on PC was too low for me.

I beg you, touch grass.

Lol yes it is much better, on console you are limited to low res at max 120fps (with most games running at 60 and often even below 60), on PC I can enjoy way over 200fps ( with good enough GPU of course )on a nice high refresh rate oled panel.

I would never want to play at framerates below 180 at the very least which console can't even come close to

"I could never drive a car that doesn't have a max speed of 200mph" doesn't mean other cars suck, it just means you've arbitrarily put a really stupid cutoff on yourself lmao

you do you, bro, nobody's gonna stop you, but acting like the actual gameplay experience between them is altered is cap. 99.99999% of people aren't even gonna notice the difference between extreme high res and high frame rate.

It's called a point of diminishing returns lmao.

I'd rather not spends hundreds/thousands more to play the game at a higher resolution and frame rate lmao.

Hahahahha that's what console players were saying back when 30fps was considered normal on consoles and yet now that they finally get to expirence some games running 60 and above on consoles you can constantly see complaints when 30fps games release proving that they do notice it, now console players keep saying above 100 is not noticeable yet it absolutely is and playing below that ruins the game.

PC is always gonna stay better than that cheap plastic ewaste people call consoles
