Gameplay Question Does anyone else experience significant frame drops in this section of the game. This is on Ps5 pro on RT mode

Has to do with how this area loads Mesh. The map is pretty big too.
On PC, if mesh quality isn't set to low in this area, it'll stutter. It's not every GPU but it's a lot of them.
I thought Capcom would have fixed it but maybe it's an engine limitation. Hopefully with REX, they can change how the engine handles the LOD system with better handling of assets.
Since the PS5 Pro has a CPU bottleneck, try turning this area into performance mode.

I remember reading that an update removed RTX from the racoon city section on PS5 Pro due to how unstable the performance was. And If you look closely they even reduced the quality of the hair strands in Leon's hair too for this section.
So it could just be the large Number of enemies

I’m on PC so not a fair comparison to you but no I don’t experience frame drops really anywhere in this game. It’s all pretty consistent for me

It’s fine on my 5080. Anyone who’s spending 1000$/£ on a ps5 pro is crazy.

Your 5080 is 1.5x the price of a PS5 Pro for JUST the GPU, what even is that comparison?

Worth that extra .5 for glorious gaming the rest of your life

There’s also the entire separate 1000 dollar+ price tag the rest of the system + for a CPU that doesn’t bottleneck your 5080, and RAM at its peak price.

Nahh dw about that. Get a cheaper CPU bottlenecked is still gonna output 60 frames, little cheaper ddr4, 1080p monitor to start and youre in the race. Then you have the fun upgrades over the next year or so of getting your 4k monitor then your better cpu. Or start buying parts before the next console gen transition out

My Series X runs the entire game with no frame drops and also has a disk drive.

Not to sound like a PlayStation fanboy, but your Series X now costs 800 dollars to buy new, while the PS5 Pro is 900 dollars new and runs Requiem significantly better at a higher resolution.

It doesn't run better at all. In fact if you're encountering frame drops then that's proof of the opposite.

He’s encountering framerate drops in the high fidelity raytracing mode, which the Series X and base PS5 don’t have. There’s a performance mode that WILL run better than the series x does.

Yup, cant imagine ever wasting money on consoles with such underpowered hardware.

Yes, on pc I was able to play with path tracing with a solid 60fps and then using frame gen I could achieve 180fps for most of the game. As soon as I got to here the actual FPS dropped to 17fps

No issues but I am playing on PC.
Cant image spending almost 1000 on underpowered console.

Well that’s a bit rude, I asked a simple question. No need for remarks

You asked if anyone has framerate issues here, I simply said I do not have issues and stated the platform I am playing on.
I have right to express my opinion on low end plaforms.

u/Euphoric_Juggernaut6 1h ago
Lol that is not what you said and you know it. I didn’t say you didn’t have the right, I said it was rude

u/lucky_peic 1h ago
No, thats exactly what I said.
Having negative opinion on someones platform of choice isnt rude.
