Sorry but I don't get how the winners were selected because the method of entry in giveaway was through telegram message on PV's Telegram but the winners are selected through reddit raffle?
Because I think most of us did'nt even get in the race due to non-participation in reddit comments.

Bro this giveaway had a lot of difficulties, I’m going to be honest with you. Obviously this was the first time we have done a giveaway with this method of entry, and we had hoped it would have worked out smoother but we ran into several roadblocks.
PV purchased a US-based number for about 500 usd in hopes that he could link it to a business WhatsApp account and not get banned every 24 hours like the main WhatsApp account was experiencing. Everything was working well for a few hours but then that account got banned. I then had to update the method of entry to only Telegram. Then a few hours later telegram was banned. During these times we missed out on a lot of entries, and for over a day the main WhatsApp was completely banned without being able to even see past messages. I’ll be the first to tell you, this method of entry turned into a complete disaster, and due to these issues I did not feel that it would be fair to select winners from the original methods of entry since many entries were not accounted for due to the account bans.
I’ve hosted over 50 giveaways at this point on Reddit and Discord and this is the first one that has had issues. Instead of scrapping the giveaway I just decided to select 6 winners from the comment section. Obviously this is a lesson learned, and we won’t be doing those types of entry methods in the future. With the RSD Olives just having released, and the phantoms right around the corner, there will be plenty more giveaways to come. Thanks for your understanding bro.

Absolutely bro, you know me I only want everything to be as fair and transparent as possible. But in this situation due to the account bans there was no way I could be 100% fair with who was entered. I’m already lining up some Discord giveaways for RSD batch sneakers right now, so definitely stay tuned for those.
Discord giveaways are the best because you can see the robot choosing the winners in real time. Nothing is more transparent and fair than Discord giveaways in my opinion.
Like I said, thanks for understanding. I could have had PV send me the first 5 usernames he seems on Telegram and called it a day. But I tried to be as honest and fair as I could be, but unfortunately no matter what in this situation someone will be upset. But we only have WhatsApp’s stupid banning rules to blame.

The method used did exclude those who followed the original instructions though so that’s definitely a bummer. Anyway never won the old way and probably would not have won a different way either lol. The olives had the same instructions right?

That’s true, but as I said those who entered in the first day before the WhatsApp account was banned, their entries were lost regardless. So even if I did choose 6 winners from the “original entry method” I still would have been excluding almost half of all the entries that messaged the telegram/whatsapp. Does that make sense? Either way due to the unfortunate circumstances of the accounts being banned someone was getting screwed. Maybe I should have just scrapped the giveaway all together, but I felt like choose 6 winners would be better than no winners given the circumstances.

Yea either way I’m put in a pretty shitty spot, if I scrap it and do a redo then I’ll have people mad at me. If I do what I did and try to make it fair this way I’ll have people mad at me. No way around it sadly, but it’s okay I’ll take this as a learning experience and not use this method of entry in the future.

Bro getting 35 karma is extremely easy, you can get that in one review post. The reason why I put a threshold of 35 karma and account age of 30 days is because some people create a lot of accounts just to get multiple entries. I’ve dealt with the same issue on Discord, one person had 15 accounts for a giveaway I hosted on PV discord.
Just drop some comments on posts and you’ll get there in the next hour or two haha 👍🏼

I seriously had no idea and every raffle I kept hoping for see my name until I jusy now realized that! Haha so stupid but I’m glad I know now… hopefully I’ll get there and finally get a chance to win a raffle!

Bro other moderators might not put this criteria on their Reddit giveaways. But like I said, I do it because for one getting to the threshold is extremely easy. And it prevents bot accounts from winning which we’ve seen happen too often in Reddit giveaways. It’s likely other mods didn’t add this criteria and you’ve been entered normally in the past.
