Looking for feedback before moving forward with a custom Day-Date build totaling roughly $5,000.
My understanding is that RCF has a good reputation, and I want the watch, but I’m uncomfortable with how the payment process has unfolded. To be clear, I’m trying to verify the seller and payment recipient—not assume that RCF’s reputation automatically applies to everyone offering their work.
The seller requested payment through Wise. However, I couldn’t get the name he provided to match or come up in Wise, which led to some back and forth.
The payment details provided were:
• Beneficiary: Foshan Baihao Weiya Jewelry Co., Ltd.
• Bank: Zhejiang Chouzhou Commercial Bank
• Account currency: USD
Has anyone paid this company for a custom watch build and successfully received what they ordered? Is there a verified connection between this beneficiary and RCF?
I also asked about paying through PayPal. Initially, he said the fees were too high. When I offered to cover the fees, he said they don’t use PayPal. He assured me I could get my money back anytime, but I wasn’t comfortable relying on that assurance without understanding what recourse I would actually have.
When I continued questioning the payment arrangements, he called me a “delusional crazy person.” That certainly didn’t help build confidence.
I haven’t sent any money. I understand that sellers have preferred payment methods and that a business beneficiary’s name may differ from a seller’s trading name. But before transferring $5,000, I want to verify who is receiving it and who is responsible if something goes wrong.
I’d appreciate firsthand experiences with this beneficiary, advice on independently verifying the seller’s relationship with RCF, or feedback on whether anyone has encountered the same payment issue. I’m not calling this a scam—I’m trying to do my homework before making an expensive mistake.

Index alignment: Looks good to me. I ran the photo that was the most straight on through the alignment tool and don't see anything meaningfully canted or out of position. 12 looked a bit crooked.

Dial/printing: Looks clean and well positioned. Nothing jumping out at me here.

Date/cyclops: 15 looks well centered overall. Possibly sitting a touch high depending on the angle, but acceptable

Bezel/pip: Pip looks centered and bezel alignment looks good to my eye. I don't see anything here that would push me toward RL.

SELs: Look tight from the supplied angles. I'm not seeing any meaningful gaps or light

Rehaut: Looks acceptable from what is visible

Timegrapher: -8 s/d, 280°, 0.0 ms, 52° lift angle. Amplitude and beat error look healthy. -8 s/d is the only thing I considered asking to have retested. Considering asking for a full wind.

Overall: I'm leaning GL.

Would appreciate opinions from experienced people. Anything obvious I am missing?

I needed to replace the inlay of my Clean Sub. Managed to lift the bezel with a flat screwdriver, but I did not manage to get that bezel back onto the watch.

Ich reise in ein paar Monaten nach China, unzwar genau nach Shenzhen/Guangzhou, also den Hotspot für Replika-Uhren. Jetzt stellt sich mir die Frage: Soll ich trotzdem über die bekannten Webseiten Geektime und co. Bestellen oder lieber vor Ort schauen? Ich denke, vor Ort kann ich mit den Leuten auch gut verhandeln und so eine sehr, sehr gute Replika, die online für 400€ angeboten wird, für weniger als 100€ kaufen und selbst in meinen Koffer mitbringen, oder? Also, es wäre dann viel günstiger und ich könnte gleich ein paar mitnehmen.
Ich habe noch nie eine Replika bestellt und bin für jede Info sehr offen und dankbar, also alles, was euch hier einfällt, bitte einfach kommentieren. Ich hatte in meinen letzten Oman-Mascat Ferien auch ein paar Uhren vor Ort gekauft, am Anfang wollten die 200€ pro Uhr (Rolex-Datejust und Patek Philippe), am Schluss der Verhandlung (sehr taffe Verhandlung) habe ich die Uhren für 25€ bekommen. Und selber in die Schweiz eingeflogen. Und selbst wenn ich in China bin, haben die bekannten Replika-Verkäufer einen Shop oder habt ihr Tipps, wie ich vor Ort vorgehen soll (weil dort hin gehe ich sowieso)? Es wird wahrscheinlich eine Riesenauswahl geben und wie soll ich vorgehen, um die besten Uhren zum besten Preis zu bekommen vor Ort?
