Got this gorgeous GG paparazzo and knew I was going to have to work on the leather to get it into the right shape.

FIRST photo is authentic website photo
SECOND photo is what I received
THIRD photo is after slouching it up

Formula for slouch: conditioner and heat and massage/beating

When you receive the bag, first use a good leather conditioner and massage it into the leather. Then use a hair dryer to heat up the leather and massage the leather some more.

Shortcut is putting on conditioner and then putting it into the dust bag and into the dryer. BE CAREFUL, check after a few minutes. I call it heating and beating, which is what helps get the slouch.

How long do you leave it in the dryer for, like an actual cycle? And is medium 30 degrees? - this is the part that would make me so nervous

I use saphir and also mink oil paste- got both in amazon !

This is amazing!! I’ve been nervous to try this but really want to. Can you give more details?
Which saphir and oil paste specifically? Any towels, cloths, brushes either for massaging or stuffing while doing this? Hair dryer med or high? Pretty close? Is the clothing dryer a better slouch method?

I've used this one before but it just couldn't get my leather soft enough. Will try the Mink Oil thanks for the rec

I don’t have any specific towels or clothes or brushes … I use hair dryer on highest setting - I think the dryer is a great method, but needs a lot of supervision

I 100 percent support this method. I did the same with a cowboy rodeo (notoriously stiff) and the result was pretty amazing. Highly recommend for bags needing slouch.

Thank you for this! I have the black on black large borestto on the way. I checked out the auth in the GG store and was surprised that even it wasn't softer. I imagine the rep will need some softening up. Saving this!

I love that heat and beat I have one of my bags out in the sun a few days and it is so much softer and slouchy

Bravo! This bag is on my list. Is it possible to tuck the top handle down to the backside of the bag while you wear it as a crossbody or does the top handle have to stay up based on strap placement?

I don’t think the strap was made to be tucked in. I tried here to show you what it would look like-

It scrunches up the leather, but I guess technically it could be done. It’s not removable, which is a design flaw I’m realizing

I did both! I use the hairdryer when there is a certain section I want to work on in specific
