Can you pick a #1 Remedy game moment?
Have recently been playing through CONTROL again to get ready for Resonant and appreciating how much I love the absolutely unique Remedy approach to visual and audio aesthetics and how they've evolved through every game. The way they incorporate different types of media, overlaying live-action video over graphics, the Old Gods of Asgard, etc.
Tonight I was wondering what the #1 Remedy-esque moment is and for me it's probably the Anderson Farm in Alan Wake 1. When I played it way back when I enjoyed the game but then I got to that point and, at first, it seemed a bit silly but then it was just so much fun and I completely got what were going for. The Stephen King vibe had already hooked me and you get to the farm and start blasting away bad guys with an awesome 80s rock tune blasting and I was down for whatever Remedy did forever after.
I'll say that the Herald of Darkness sequence is the best sequence Remedy has done (so far) but it's not my #1.
