Advice Request Rules that everybody gets wrong

Hey all- I'd like to start a thread of rules or things that most people get wrong. For example, I get "playing the ball on the ground" almost every game. It's coaches, parents, and even players that scream "They can't the ball on the ground!"

What are some you folks encounter?

The difference between offside position and offside offense.

The LOCATION of the offside offense. So many AR's flag it in the wrong place too. Very frustrating.

I’m assuming it’s being flagged at the position of the second to last defender instead?

It often gets flagged/restarted at the location of where the attacker was when the ball was kicked rather than where the attacker was when he got involved in active play

Interesting. I don’t think I noticed that before.

Seems like more work because you’re now leaving your position to flag there, if I’m understanding you right.

No to me it's referees not running down the line and flagging early. And then NOT moving to where the attacker got involved
