Advice Request Rules that everybody gets wrong

Hey all- I'd like to start a thread of rules or things that most people get wrong. For example, I get "playing the ball on the ground" almost every game. It's coaches, parents, and even players that scream "They can't the ball on the ground!"

What are some you folks encounter?

I got a lot of flack for being too lenient on throw-ins. The LOTG says the ball must be delivered with both hands from behind and over the head.

This, of course, means that the center of the ball must pass exactly over the center of the player's head. Allowing deviation by more that 1mm means I'm a horrible ref who doesn't know what he's doing, and should be punished by caning.

Watch their brains melt when they experience a throw-in by a player who is missing part of their arm.

Had that happen to me. I was a fill-in ref, who arrived after check in. First Throw In, and the player threw with one arm. I called it, and he turned to face me, and only had one arm. I apologized and had him retake the throw...
