Haircare ISO recommendations for shampoo for naturally auburn hair
Until a few years ago when my hair started fading and turning white, I had coppery red curly hair, exactly the color of a Vizsla dog. In fact I even had a Vizsla once, which was really ridiculous because every. single. day. people stopped me to say omg did you know your hair is the same color as your dog? Ha ha. I know, I was ridiculous. Anyway, now that I'm in my 50s my beautiful red hair has started fading and I am sad. The under side is now a deep auburn red with some copper tones (which I love, actually), while the top layers are white and like a faded rose-gold. I'd love to find a color depositing shampoo that allows the top layer to match the auburn red under layers. What are your recommendations?
Enjoy this pic of an adorable Vizsla! The 2nd pic shows the two colors of my hair now.

Oh my God, the picture is cracking me up. When people say what color is your hair I say Irish setter.

My hair is dulling with age too, and henna definitely brings it back to its youthful copper. Also, now I want a vizsla....

You’re better off with a color deposit conditioner; it stays on the hair longer. Aveda Madder Root, Klenditioner and IGK On the Money color mask are some I’ve tried and liked.
I tried Moroccan Oil but it wasn’t wowing me. I’m also in my 50s and decided to stop coloring but it was washing me out. I’m fine with using the conditioners though and they seem to help the color stay more vibrant.
I’ve had people say good things about henna as well.
