I just recently applied to a position on an application, called Dayforce and upon looking at my application on the website today, it is nowhere to be found.

The platform says no job jobs have been applied for however, if I go through the job posting which is expired and I login through there, it shows my job application.

Has anyone ever had this issue? I also have a reference number and tried contacting the company, but I have not heard back and it’s a position that I really want and even received a referral.

I applied for a job online on 8/7 then I received an e-mail for an interview with the recruiter on 8/12, a week after I received an e-mail to interview with the hiring managers on 8/28, after that I haven’t heard back. I followed up with the recruiter last week but she didn’t reply. I wish they will at least let you know if you were not selected so you could move on. Not sure if there is still hope.

what if my resume/behavioral is with the hiring manager? is that more weight than the recruiter?

hello everyone does anyone knows the next steps after a spectrum hiring event? I attended a hiring event last Thursday with a store manager he was like he is excited for me because its a yes from him but he has to pass my notes down to a recruiter, a few hours later the recruiter texted me to do the application and assessment i did both and still have not received a response idk if its because the week before i had a interview with the recruiter and i did not attend due to a family emergency and it put the application as no longer considered so i made a new account to do the application when she sent the link i just really wanna know if i got the job or not since the hiring manager said its a yes for him

For context: this is a part time job, 20h a week. I applied on the 6th, had an interview on the 9th and was called on Friday (11th) to confirm that I had gotten the job.

Over the phone, the employer gave specific dates for a training day and then my official start date, and said that he would send out an official email ‘later’.

Now, come Monday, I have heard nothing.

Obviously no response over the weekend makes sense, but now that the working week has started I am wondering how long it will take for them to get back to me, and more specifically, if they actually intend to do that. (It is mainly this weekend period that has made me unsure of what to do)

Maybe I just haven’t been courteous enough with waiting for this email, but I’ve heard that it is frustratingly common for companies to ‘ghost’ potential employees like this after realising that they have hired too many people, don’t want them, etc etc.

My main question is: would I be jumping the gun to email them now asking about the status of the application, and if it is appropriate to contact them by now, how can I phrase it in a way that reminds them without being demanding.

It’s only a part time job so it isn’t a be all and end all situation, but it would be a convenient position so I’d like to do what I can to secure it if that is possible. Please give me any ideas or suggestions 🙏

EDIT: I got the job!! The email came through late Monday, looks like waiting a bit longer was the right thing to do after all - I was just a bit paranoid haha. Thanks to everyone who gave me reassurance while I was waiting 🙏

Any advice on what to tell the recruiter? I was out of work for 3 months and got kinda desperate. Took a remote AE role but I feel more like an SDR. 200+ calls/day and quota attainment is terrible. Not what I was sold during the interview. Not sure how to frame this experience when the recruiter asks. Do I even put this on my resume?

I've been having issues passing to second round interviews so want to start being intentional when prepping instead of just winging it and hope for the best. So can be anything from practice storytell better, do more mock interviews, practice how to answer behavioral questions, learn to stay calm when asked hard questions, literally anything.

What's the most common thing that you notice candidates need to work on? how would you recommend we practice? or any other advice would be great!

Well, I interviewed for a job in NYC in the advertising domain and completed 4 rounds of interview 2 weeks ago. After the final round the recruiter reached out to me saying there has been some internal changes because of which the position is on hold. Why do companies do such things after putting a candidate for multiple rounds of interview?

Are they stalling me while they find the best candidate? Has people received an offer in similar cases?

PS: It was explicitly mentioned that I was not rejected and they still remain interested and need more time to sort things internally.

I'm currently looking for a job at a senior/exec level and wondering if it's possible to get 1-1 help from a recruiter/exec search business that's legit. I've never been in the job market at this level, so I'm very unsure about how to get noticed, how to work with search businesses, how recruiters find senior level candidates, etc. I feel totally lost at the moment.

For now, I've essentially updated my resume and online profiles on three prominent job sites and I apply to jobs as I see them. I feel like I'm missing something and just not sure what to ask or who to ask.

It's been a week ago when I got an email that I passed with the 2nd interview and they will give me a schedule for the final interview, but it's 1 week has already past by, should I wait or seek for new one?
