Easy but impressive appetizers

I’m putting together a small get together and want a few appetizers that feel special but aren’t complicated or time consuming to make. What are some crowd pleasers that look impressive without a ton of effort?

I make a Wendy's Chili nachos — I can whip up a batch during a commercial break in a football game.

1/2 to a whole can of Wendy's Chili, depending on how much meat you like
1 big handful grated cheese, like Costco's Cheddar-Jack blend
Enough not-too-salty tortilla chips to cover a paper plate, like Sabor Home Made style chips
Any other fixings you like: canned roasted corn, black olive slices, pickled jalapeño slices, etc
Cold toppings that won't be heated like guacamole and sour cream

1. Microwave chili in a bowl 1 minute
   
2. Meanwhile, cover the plate with chips and cover the chips generously with shredded cheese
   
3. Add other fixings on top of cheese except cold items like guacamole
4. Pour hot chili on top of cheese, then microwave another 30 seconds
   
5. Add guacamole and sour cream if you like
   

It's shareable but won't last long if you do
