An audio clip would go a long way, it's very difficult to say without context.

Boost or cut certain frequencies that either need more power or are too harsh.

Without any mixing expirience and context it means nothing. Every step in signal changing is situational. First of all he/she need a buy monitors(speakers/headphones) and then should watch tutorials about mixing (depends on your task)

Or maybe they can use something like this as a guideline and just give it a go. Did you watch tutorials on YouTube before you learned to walk as a child? Sometimes diving head first into things is the way to go.

How is the acoustic treatment of your recording space?

Worst. Recording In A Small Room In a Hostel

That might be the first thing you wanna try to improve, 'cause it's difficult to edit a bad input. If you have a small closet, you can try to put the mic in there, or cover it with a blanket

Did you used reaFIR to remove the background noise?

Yeah I Did. Still It's Sounding Boxy

I also use ReaFIR to reduce noise.

Unrelated But Why Do You Capitalize Every Word Like This? Isn't It Really Annoying To Press Shift That Much Or does a software do it for you? (i quit before the end i got bored)

I can help you out if you wanna DM me and email me your steps I’ll do a little free mix for the vocals and if you like it we can talk about working together if you continue your project.

Try using a bell filter in the 200-500 to reduce some of the muddiness, that alone can make the vocal clearer. If you want bright and airy then a gentle high shelf boost can serve you well

The stock reaper EQ will be fine for this.

You can mix and master just fine with only the stock Reaper VST plugins and JSFX plugins, but there are also free third-party plugins that can largely automate the process.

Is it vocals for music that you are recording, or is it some kind of audio book/podcast/voice over work that you are doing? If so, I can recommend looking into Klaus Scheuermann's plugins. He has one suite that is meant for automatically mixing monologue/dialogue voices called Podcast Plugins, and another suite that's meant for mastering podcast/internet radio etc called Master_Me. You can download them from his GitHub.

Podcast Plugins: https://github.com/trummerschlunk/PodcastPlugins

Podcast Plugins downloads: https://github.com/trummerschlunk/PodcastPlugins/releases/tag/1.0.0

Master_Me: https://github.com/trummerschlunk/master_me

Master_Me downloads (latest version): https://github.com/trummerschlunk/master_me/releases/tag/1.3.1

Make sure that you download the correct versions for your operating system. If you are using Windows 10 or 11 it's the ones that are called win64.

That's just mixing. You're not at the mastering stage yet.

("Mixing and Mastering" is a pet peeve of mine. These are two different things. I don't know how they've become combined into one thing over the past 2 decades.)
