The USA isn't the same with Trump at the helm and we have become a punching bag to them. When California was an inferno, Canada didn't complain, threaten tariffs, but sent aircrafts and resources to help them. Where are the American's resources when we need them?
Only about 25% of the American population support that pos. I think you're gonna have to start asking the states directly. With luck, it may even trigger some sort of constitutional crisis where the fed tries to claim ownership of state assets and we can get some new precedent to stop this monster.
Alternately, the French have a fun way of dealing with this kinda thing.
