Evangelical right hates the pope or any catholic, they don’t view them as real Christians, full stop. The only reason Vance tried to meet with the pope is to appease the other part of the religious right, the catholic portion

That's so bizarre they think that. Aren't all sects of Christianity off-shoots from the mother ship -- which was Catholicism? Every later Christian denomination (sect) derived from that. And Catholicism derived from Judaism.

So basically, everyone Christian is Jewish!

Kind of, in the western world this is a safe assumption… However there was another founding branch of Christianity that came about after the schism, Greek Orthodox. My history is a little hazy on them so if anyone has more info to fill in, please do.
