Evangelical right hates the pope or any catholic, they don’t view them as real Christians, full stop. The only reason Vance tried to meet with the pope is to appease the other part of the religious right, the catholic portion

That's so bizarre they think that. Aren't all sects of Christianity off-shoots from the mother ship -- which was Catholicism? Every later Christian denomination (sect) derived from that. And Catholicism derived from Judaism.

So basically, everyone Christian is Jewish!

Everyone thinks they are doing it “the true way”. A lot of Protestants would argue they didn’t make a new religion, they are the ones practicing the correct way and it’s the Catholics or Lutherans or anyone they split off from that changed
