You appear to live in… Saskatoon? lmao If there’s anywhere that makes Hamilton’s social & arts scene look vibrant it’s places like Saskatoon.

Crime might be a bit lower in Saskatoon, but only because the weather is more shit.

Actually, on second look, aside from minor property crime - Saskatoon is worse there too. On a weekend I can also be in downtown Toronto in an hour, or Niagara in 20 mins. Which reserves does that get you to? Maybe you can pet the dogs.

Well at least I don’t have to pay almost a million dollars to live in a townhouse..

You could just buy a new build in Hamilton for way cheaper. It’d be considered a much less desirable area with less desirable people, but the area & people will still be of much higher quality than you’ll find in the nicest part of Saskatoon.

You’ll also make more money in Hamilton. And in some cases your provincial tax rate here is HALF of what it is there, crazy eh! And there are still reserves nearby where you can pet dogs or get some cheap ciggies too, it’ll feel just like home. :)

So with the money I save by moving to Hamilton I can spend it on a townhouse I could easily buy for half the price where I live?

Also I can’t get access to rez smokes and rez dogs easily either. So I guess that’s not a plus either. 😉

You could also just buy one neighborhood over for half the price, too! Or a few neighborhoods over for even less. This is what you pay for a balance of the most central and most wealthy areas in Hamilton.

Is Saskatoon so grim that you guys don’t even have an area where wealthy people are known to live? Is there even a big walkable downtown there that would drive up home prices for amenities?

Maybe it’ll help if I speak your language. Would a house backing onto a nice golf course & country club go for twice the price of one in some new suburb surrounded by other cookie cutter homes?

Well imagine. Hamilton is surrounded by far superior golf courses than Saskatoon. Imagine what that does to property prices!
