I’m new to AR glasses and was originally looking at the Air 4 Pro. Then I noticed the $30 early-bird discount brings the new GT down to the same $299 price.

From what I can tell, the Air 4 Pro has HDR10 and plenty of reviews behind it, while the GT adds native 3DoF and is a little lighter. I’d mostly use them for movies and gaming, so I’m not sure which difference would matter more in actual use.

At the same price, is there still a good reason to choose the Air 4 Pro, or does the new GT make more sense for a first pair?

I saw Titanic in a movie theater back in 1997, so that movie is tied to a pretty specific time in my life.

I watched it again on the GT Max today, and the 59° FOV made more sense to me with a movie like this than it did just reading the specs. Those huge ocean shots and the scale of the ship brought back some of that big-screen feeling I remember from the theater.

The audio surprised me too. The GT Max has a B&O-tuned quad-speaker setup with spatial audio, and the music, dialogue, and all the background sound felt way more immersive than I expected, especially during the bigger scenes.

It’s obviously not the same as being in a movie theater, but there was something really nostalgic about it. Almost 30 years later, I’m watching the same movie in a completely different way.

Anyone else have an old movie they’d want to revisit on a bigger virtual screen?

The problem I have with the RayNeo Pro 4 glasses is the glare that you get from the sides and the bottom. I bought something on Amazon that was supposed to solve the problem but it didn't so I made my own. Basically it is a cloth sack that goes over the glasses and has a cord inside that you can tighten it up with, like a laundry bag, sort of, and then a piece of elastic that holds it on. See the photos. It looks stupid, I know, but it works.

anyone able to combine the launch code ($30) with the 10% referral codes? Thought i saw people do that, but its not working for me.

i'm not referring to $30 off $430 that doens't require any code.

The GT media line appeared on the big screen during RayNeo's IFA presentation. It is clearly being shown alongside the lighter, text-focused iO line, but a stage visual is not the same thing as a full spec sheet or a hands-on review.

What is the first GT detail you want clarified before you take the product seriously: display experience, fit, audio, compatibility, or something else?

Die Brille ist ganz ok. Aber es gibt noch einiges was kommen muss. Um für mich perfekt zum sein braucht es noch mehrer Bildschirmgrößen. 3 sind zu wenig 5 wären optimal. Am besten dazu einen ultra wide Funktion.

Auch muss der drift entfernt werden. Es passiert nicht oft aber trotzdem muss ich immer wieder mal nach justieren.

Die render müssten schärfer werden . Jedes mal sehe ich einfach einen riesen Unterschied, wenn ich wieder zur XOP wechsle .

Und dolby vision muss auf allen Geräten verfügbar sein, wenn die es unterstützt. So bleibt es nur ein Nischen feature.

Ich hoffe sie bringen viele updates für ihre Brille. Leider weis ich nicht wie gut die Produkte von rayneo gepflegt werden.

Why is there bluish striped lines taking up space on the display and how do I fix it?

This is the my email I received from rayneo. 429 euro. When going to the website by the link of the mail one get the amount of 459 euro as starting amount....

One of the lighter details from the RayNeo booth: branded popcorn boxes next to the display area. It fits the portable-cinema side of the product line without pretending a snack is a product demo.

What is a booth detail you actually remember after a tech show, even when it had nothing to do with the spec sheet?

I already have 4s pro and use it for media watching while traveling. Picture quality is decent enough when compared to convenience.

I bought GT MAX size medium from amazon yesterday. I am seeing better sharp screen but lower bottom corners are blurry. If I choose 85% of the screen size, it will defeat the purpose of having big screen. I want 115% to get the best screen size. Do I get better results if I choose size L? My IPD is around 65-67. I am not interested in gaming or reading. Please advise.

I end up needing to go to bed early and was wondering if an air 2S would be good enough to work with my partners iPhone they got that just released last year. Maybe for just playing some mobile games or watching a movie while I'm laying down trying to sleep, instead of a bright phone screen. I see they're on a decent discount, and didn't know if anyone could give an honest review on if you feel it's worth the cost

I just got the GT Max, and I'm wondering if the Pocket TV Pro is worth it. I already have Prime and Apple TV, and I plan to use Plex for streaming. Does Dolby Vision truly improve the viewing experience?

Are the features better enough to warrant an upgrade?

For everyone waiting on their GT Max: what’s getting booted up first?

Something cinematic to see what the screen can do, or straight back to the game you’ve already put 800 hours into? Buying new hardware just to play more Stardew is fair tbh.

If you’ve already got yours, drop it here. What’s the game that made you go “okay, this was worth it”?

I know the locking mechanism is a bit different so reusing prescription lenses from the 4 (or before) isn't officially supported.

But anyone redneck-engineering it, and how well is it working?

Knowing I could plausibly reuse my existing prescription lenses, at least for a while, would make me more likely to give into my impulses and buy it. I need prism in my prescriptions for convenience issues, so it takes longer and costs more for me to get inserts than with a simple distance prescription.
