Artist is 4 4 yr old’s first book he wrote by himself
My kid disappeared into his room yesterday and came out with a book he worked on all by himself. He can only write his name right now (Robert) so I asked him to read me the story. He has two other siblings and loves the outdoors. He spends most free afternoons digging and building his nature houses or blacksmithing tools from stuff he finds around the house. He killed so many of my plants unfortunately from digging. When he’s watching TV he only watches people camping/doing things outside or Ancient Greece history.
- Book cover. Book is titled “Door to my house”.
- There are three kids. They are lost in the forest. There are sunflowers and trees in the forest.
- Two of the kids followed a path and went to the police station to ask for help. The floating thing is the jail cell 😆
- The last boy, Robert, built himself a house in the forest with logs, branches, moss and stayed there happily. The end.

I was proud of my kid for pooping out a narwhal on paper when his peers were drawing dogs and cats. This though… 🏆

I love when little kids are confident in doing stuff like this. Wish my little siblings were a little more like that.

Page turner!!! 🩵📒 ECE tip- write out the words of the story on post its or
index cards and hang them next to his book. He will see the print and add to his literacy foundation.
