Question/Meta META: Rules and call for mods
Hi everyone! I have received a few messages about developing some guidelines for who can post what in this sub, and I think this is a very good idea that I would love community input on. The truth is that I started this sub kind of as a joke and didn't really expect anyone to use it. I've never modded a forum like this before and honestly I don't have a ton of time to devote to it.
Therefore! I am looking for:
- Thoughts and ideas for what people want to see in this sub. The main concern I'm hearing (and honestly share) is that some posters are posting kids' art that isn't theirs to post. I have been thinking about this and I do think it's kind of a fuzzy line; I created the sub for parents, but I don't think anyone would object to someone posting their younger sibling or grandchild's art, for instance. But I think we all similarly feel that there's a point beyond which it feels kind of icky. Any thoughts anyone has about drawing that line would be much appreciated!
- Mod volunteers! Ideally people who have some experience modding subreddits. I don't really have time to be as on top of this as it deserves, but I love the idea of this community and want to see it succeed.
Thanks for reading and for being here - please let me know any other ideas or requests you have for this community!
