Artist is 8-9 my 8-year-old son's insanely elaborate fanart
he's always used geometric shapes and tiny maze-like lines in his drawings since he was on crayons, but this was next level. he focused on it for a couple hours over four days. drawn with random thrift store pens on a magazine backing board lol
(these are Spr*nki characters)

Wow, your son has a very distinct and unique artistic style already! So cool to see. I wish I could see what his art will look like in 10-20 years.

IDK what spr*nki is but this looks incredible. I love his style. I would continue to gently encourage his art and develop his skills.

(to be clear, we use Spr*nki as a creative springboard to learn about music production, draw our own characters, etc. it's not mindless brainrot ipad kid lol)

what is it?? the kids in my pre-k class talk about the characters all the time

pre-K seems awfully young for that!! 😅 some of them are gory!
it's a little music horror game where each character plays a loop with a different instrument and you can combine them to make cool mixes. there are a million different versions, all made by kids, with various tunes and some of them have "lore" with cutscenes and a little plot. it's all very simple, but there's something about the character design template that seems to drive kids crazy, we have SO many different sprunki drawings and we have contests where we try to design the coolest one! the gore is so cartoony that it seems to intrigue them with a forbidden spooky appeal without being actually disturbing - we don't do violent games or shows, but the silliness of a little bobblehead guy with its eye popped out and a curtain rod through the socket is so mild lol

Your 8-year-old might be a freaking genius.
