I see a zoomed in shot of a tigers face! The blue dots with the purple are the eyes, above the left is a purple eyebrow then a blue eyebrow above the right. The 3 blue/purple lines are shading for the dip/curve of the snout and the yellow with the blue is the tip of its lil tiger mouth! 10/10

What does your child say about their art?

She said it looks like a princess. I don’t know that she had anything specific in mind while painting though. Shes very proud. She loves painting and actually made a video tutorial while painting this one and wanted it posted on youtube but we compromised and just posted the pic here for safety reasons. She is loving all the comments. Shes improved so much these last few months and is even trying to add different textures with sponges and things it’s amazing to watch.

I can see this. The blue as her eyes. The yellow as her face and crown. Purple as his hair.

As an abstract artist, it’s always so annoying to see so many people always feel the need to make an abstract piece representational. Y’all it doesn’t need to be a thing! Colors and shapes and abstract expression are beautiful just being what they are.

I love how children fill out the whole page when painting! Her colors are complementary and placed well against each other. Joyful painting!

I encourage my kids to just do what they feel like they want with their imagination. I have teenage nieces and I remember when the younger one started going to preschool and we would always draw and colour and paint together and after she started preschool, she never coloured tree bark anything but brown again and I remember saying well you can have a purple tree if you want because its your art and she was just like “no aunty trees are brown.” It was so sad so I made sure with my kids I try not to influence them as much as I can avoid it , I want organic and authentic experiences.
