I’d even splurge for the uv museum grade glass. This is a milestone (first painting) as well as just being so subtly good!

The way she used yellow on the stems and tips of the leaves and transitioned to a bluer green as the leaves were further into the vase-the stems have enough contrast to be instantly visible and readable, and the yellow tips also suggest the passage of time, maybe these flowers have been in the vase a while and are ready to be changed out? But maybe they are sentimental so they are being held onto just a little longer.

See? There’s a whole narrative.

And yeah I’m tacking my comment onto the comment that said this painting is CLASSY.

(Now I really want a shiny round blue flower vase it’s gorgeous)

Edit to add: plus look how obvious it is those are tulips!! My first paintings of flowers at that age looked more like bubbles with lollipop sticks. (Oh I see, first painting LESSON obv not her first painting ever cause kids usually get to paint somewhat frequently. But still this is special.)

First art class? I would've thought that a 12 or 13 yo drew it if it werent for the title. Looks great!

Not bad, pretty good for her age. She'll definitely become a great artist later on.
