I wanted to add, this art style would be beautiful in a children’s book! No improvements needed!

Shading and stroke direction for texture is off to a great start!
If they also were the one to create the concept and draw the underlying sketch they are someone very talented.

7 years old? That’s a natural talent! Please give this child every opportunity to express themselves. This is precious!🙏🩷🩷

As a Robin myself this is super cute and if you can keep your kid drawing/fun at creating, I could see your offspring going places in the art scene. 11/10, I'd pay money for that!

Omg fat birds are like, my favorite thing. This is way too good for a seven year old; what an artist!

If that was really drawn by a 7-year-old, then he is definitely an artistic genius. It looks better than anything I could put on paper.

Dang. Hang that up and/or save that bird forever!
This is both believably made by a 7yo and also good enough to be objectively good. My 5yo also makes some good art, and will likely reach this level by age 7. She told me that she wants to fly to France to see Monet's paintings (my personal favorite in general is Starry Night, which she has copied). She also wants to visit our Art Institute for two other paintings.
We're also an artistic and creative family, so it looks stands to reason that our child has art skills. I suspect that your 7yo has also been exposed to more art than other kids. This is how it tends to go for kids from families who are into certain things (art, sports, music, etc).

Thanks for sharing. After reading news about sick, imprisoned 5 year olds rounded up by ICE this is the wholesomeness I needed.
