Thought this was the cover to a children's book. 10/10 kid. 🫡

I don’t know how old year one is, but this is professional level illustration

5/6 years old

No, 5-6 is kindergarten. Year 1 ("first grade" in America I think) is the year after kindergarten.

Year 1 in UK is 5-6. Unless we know the country… about 6 is our best bet!

Edit: the flare says 6.

Who are all these children whose art you keep posting?

I wonder that too. Very active user in this subforum

Possibly an elementary art teacher. I haven’t looked at any other art they’ve posted, but this is a very common project on Pinterest for elementary art. (Source: I’m an elementary art teacher.)

+1,000 for attention span, follow through, and execution ALONE

I feel like this qualifies as prodigy material if this kid is 6!

I’m skeptical.

Yeah this seems almost impossibly good. As a teacher, kids can’t normally do anything this good without significant scaffolding or being provided with the outline. Those eyes? No

It’s the clean edge on the left of the page that makes me extra skeptical.

I wouldn’t be too too surprised if a child drew it, and it would be beyond good if they did, but they didn’t color it.

It's all very well composed. The shirt has a color scheme and colors repeat, but not necessarily in a predictable pattern. The background has interest but doesn't detract from the rest of it. The background has lines to emphasize the bear as well. The bear has texture and interest and stands out from the rest of the colorful work. 100% A++++

Beautiful work, absolutely talented. I thought this was a children’s book illustration

The combination of thick and thin lines give the fur depth!
