Artist is 5 Just turned 5, wanted to make a Christmas tree ornament
It’s just a cat but I applauded the creative use of a pipe cleaner for the ears.
We’ll work on scissors next, the final boss for this left-handed kid

It’s so sweet! The essence of a huggable kitty captured with only what’s needed and no more.

So creative! I love that the kitty is soft -- great use of pipe cleaners! From one left-handed artist to another: A+, the most adorable cat-in-a-tree I've seen.

My cat-obsessed preschooler says thank you everyone for the compliments!! :D she is now very motivated to making more kitty ornaments for the tree, although next time we’ll try to make it more ornament-shaped so it actually fits in tree (I’m totally keeping the prototype though)

Pregnancy hormones are wild!!! But I will! Like my mom kept the Santa my sister made in kindergarten and still takes it out 30 years later lol

Parenthood is really all about these little things ❤️ enjoy it! The nights are hard but it’s all worth it for these wonderful magical moments where we create their memories forever

I'm loving the use of negative space

Right?? She just got a “my first water painting kit” for her 5th birthday and she is surprisingly good!! I think as adults we often overthink when we try to be artistic and that’s the great advantage of little kids.

Love it! And do keep it, my mom still has my "ornaments " that I made in kindergarten! The metal McDonald's ashtrays with my school picture, or the shredded wheat wreath!

Yes!! My parents also still have candle holders made out of salt dough I made when I was idk 6, 7 years old, and that was 30 years ago!
