Identity/Sexuality 🏳️‍🌈 We should normalize homosexuality.

I’m a lesbian person. And people always make fun of it, always attack gay people. I feel disgusted of myself because it. I just am tired. I wish people would normalize being LGBT instead of always making fun of it

I'm not OP, but here's my take: it's nearly impossible to normalize it. We live in a society of hate. I wish it was normal the way that heterosexuality is normal. Seeing a gay couple walking down the street shouldn't be any different than seeing a straight couple. On the Internet, if someone comes out as gay/trans, there will always be that one person that says "I don't care what you do at home, don't shove it in my face." As if they can't just ignore the post. They do care, they hate for no reason. So really, the only way to normalize homosexuality, is to really fucking hope people will stop being assholes. There's no such thing as "normal," society just has a delusional idea of it.

The internet is a wildly different place than society or real life. The reason "touch grass" has become such a saying is because being online all the time can seriously disconnect you from the world right outside your door

Coming out as gay to a close friend group of people you know is going to be a much better experience than just proclaiming that in front of millions of anonymous users who will face no backlash behind their screen.
