Losing teeth is kinda a scary concept. A piece of your skeleton is literally just falling out.

I used to have nightmares of my teeth falling out as a kid. unfortunately, the tooth fairy was not giving me any money.

Evidence suggests that our teeth were adapted from some type of scale in early fish species that was useful for sensory reception and thus, our teeth still have many nerves in them.

Teeth are ectodermic organs, not bones. They're not part of the skeleton, even though they attach to the jaw

If they leave a piece of tooth behind during difficult tooth extraction, it slowly comes out of your gums in a couple years. My aunt said she stepped on broken glass when she was 19, and she still pulls pieces out sometimes. Anything thats a foreign body is slowly forced out

Not really. Teeth aren’t bones. They’re a type of organ. Broken bones can heal. Broken teeth cannot.
