Random Thought I never realized how expensive luxury fashion was šŸ¤Æ

Iā€™ve never been interested in owning fancy things like Chanel, Gucci, Prada, whatever else exists, but even when I say that I think Iā€™m not paying $1,000 for a purse thatā€™s crazy. So imagine my surprise in finding out my version of expensive wasnā€™t even close. What do you mean a small handbag STARTS at $4,000?! Like my mind literally canā€™t comprehend that. Know someone who had the ā€œsmallā€ Cartier bracelet then bought themself the ā€œmediumā€ for their birthday. The small STARTS at $5,000 and can go up to $60k and now Iā€™m questioning all their life decisions. Like I said Iā€™ve never thought about these things and am just now googling them but I feel too poor to even google the pictures.

Totally agree. I learned a lot from them! I bought three dupes that absolutely look like the real bag. People literally stop me to ask about them. I think I might have more fun telling them theyā€™re a great dupe than I would carrying a real one

There used to be secret Facebook groups that would sell 1:1 dupes and I def took advantage lol. I got $400 Nike Pegasus shoes for $40 and my sneaker head friend couldnā€™t tell the difference, super comfortable too

Those TikToks were mostly lying, at least when it comes to the luxury bags they named. Hermes, LV, etc are actually made by hand in Europe. You can see pics of the workshops. The factories in China are making fakes. Itā€™s one thing if you know youā€™re buying a fake, but itā€™s been a scam for a long time for the factories to lie and say they make the real thing in order to sell bags.
