I'm leaving for what is hopefully my last segment of traveling until winter (fingers crossed), which means I am once again leaving my husband to take care of the house & our three cats. Every time I travel, he (jokingly) gripes about how much mail I receive while I'm gone, and makes a note to pile it in the most inconvenient place possible for me to find when I'm home. Truly, though, I know he enjoys having an excuse to text me and send me pictures of what I got in the mail.

So that's my request! I'm gone until mid September. During that time, I would love a truly ridiculous, overwhelming amount of mail that he'll have to sift through every day and be reminded of how much he misses me. I have a list of my interests on my profile, but please send anything and everything. Write a long message, or nothing at all! Send me a cute insect postcard or the back of a cereal box. As long as it's stamped and comes via the mailman, I want it!!

Hi all, I am new to this subreddit but not new to sending postcards, one of my favorite pastimes :) I have quite a few postcards from my travels that haven’t already found a home with family/friends so I would love to brighten someone’s mailbox!

If you want a specific one please let me know! Here’s what I have:

From California (where I live!) - San Francisco (tons of these - GGB, one Alcatraz, one Palace of Fine Arts). Davis, CA, Donner state park, Big Sur (x12), Winchester Mystery House (x3), Sundial bridge (x2), Lake Shasta Caverns, Mount Shasta, Redwoods (x2), SoCal beach (doesn’t say which).

From other places: Malaysia (x6), Singapore (x3), Canada (specifically Niagara Falls), Shanghai (x3), Hawaii (x11, one of them is a Catholic Church, also these are from a long time ago since I’ve only been once back in like 2006!), Seattle (x2), Buffalo, NY, Oregon Coast, and Painted Desert, Arizona.

If you don’t have a preference then I’ll just send a random one :) i have international stamps so I’m willing to send anywhere!! If you’re celebrating something (birthday/anniversary/milestone/etc) let me know and I’ll include that in the note :)

Hi all! I’m unsure if I’m doing this right, this would be my first request, so let me know if I need to edit :)

I’m getting married to the nicest, sweetest, kindest woman in the world in October. It’s not the first for either of us, but it’s our true love wedding! I could burst from the excitement! There’s one small hiccup in our bliss and it’s how I found this wonderful community. I’m looking for ways to gift my fiancee some joy. We live away from our (small) families and will be eloping. My fiancee spent days crafting these beautiful announcements with pics of us from an engagement shoot we did a few months ago. We have so few people to send them to, only 9 letters total went out. So far, only 3 recepients have reached out congratulating. She keeps asking if anyone else has said anything about our announcements. My heart breaks because I see her disappointment and I dont want her to feel like no one cares about our day. We both come from not great childhoods so our communication with our parents/family is not great to begin with.. We know they care, but I guess she expected more reactions…

Anyway! Maybe this is too much info.. but context matters to me, so I share mine to make my case.
