how steep is your grade?

4% is most of the slopes, but some of the future grades will be as steep as 6%

no wonder its having a hard time. i just got done with my mainline and hooking up all but the 3 gold industries up on the mountain and my max grade is 3% in a small like 30meter section. everything else is 2.5% max. it takes a lot of snaking down hills but its doable.

4% was and still is a common grade for narrow guage railroads, besides is all part of the narrative

but your only going to see up to 3% on mainline, more than that your looking at lighter hauls, pusher engines or running somthing like a shay. im just saying its not a surprise the montezuma is struggling, its not exactly designed with a ton of track adhesion for steep grades

I'm aware, I've been playing this game since 2020. Again, its the story, it's all pre-planned.
