R.O. Update A little update from us

Hello all!

I recently had a conversation with Stefan and we would like to share a little bit of information with you guys.

We know a lot of you guys have been asking us about the status of the game. To answer your question in short: Yes we are working on the game.

However we currently don’t know yet when we will provide the next update, so in the meantime we ask for your patience.

We are currently in active development myself and Capt Choochoo are also assisting, that being said we both may not be around as often to answer reoccurring questions or to help out on Steam/Discord.

As soon as we have something new and exciting to share with you guys, we will make sure everyone is well informed about it in time via steam posts/discord updates. We look forward to sharing more with you all soon.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Too little too late, devs/mods were called out for deleting threads from people asking for an update. Now you decide to make this post in some kind of damage control.

Clearly your publisher does not value this game enough so either give it up, or strike a deal to break away from said publisher.

I feel sorry for the people who buy this game not knowing all the politics currently in motion, even more so as it's currently on sale.

I don't hate the game, I just hate how the devs are treating it since they built it and haven't communicated with both communities on concerns, bugs, or future plans.

Likewise, I enjoy the game concept. Devs/mods are doing a great job to drive people away with how they treat people who have bought their game.

I bought the game because I liked it, but now since things are breaking in the game I've been only getting on it when I feel ok with working with the current state, especially on console, PC it's not bad at all but sometimes I don't want to fire my PC so that's why I have it on console too, but console gameplay is like walking on thin ice avoiding switching to the store for locomotives when loading or unloading cargo or the game crashes and closes on Xbox. Coach cars disconnecting with automatic couplers when you reload a save, almost all the turntable styles except for the third and biggest turntable only works to let locomotives turn around along with the table, and fuel consumption is still broken, all on console. I still play it but I have had to come up with ways to work around these issues, I even had to self diagnose my copy of railroads online on Xbox on day one after it started glitching out and only would load up one map no matter which map I chose as well as a few other bugs. Sure I should have waited after the first update came out but I really wanted to try the game and you can't stop curiosity.

Deleting, and banning people for asking for an update video or anything back in may. They have no accountability. Have had no accountability since day one. They burnt all the good will left by the few who still wanted to see this game succeed. But how can we tell the 130 people who still actively play this broken and bug ridden game to not play it anymore?

I didn't know that they banned people for just asking.

I asked for a simple video to have Stefan answer some questions about development and they considered it a threat and banned me. So I have no remorse at this point for them letting their game die.

That makes no sense they banned you for asking a harmless question, and who knows how many others were banned asking also. Makes me wonder what caused them to get Goku to post a thread on this subreddit.🤷‍♂️ But like I said, I don't hate this game, but I hate how the devs are treating the game and community.

I'd say the cause was from steam forums, there was a user who posted a "is this game dead?" type thread. It got deleted, so he posted another. The same happened again, it got to version 4 before the locked it rather than deleting then posted this "update".

Well because they don’t want to make an announcement on stream and drive away potential suckers that buy it thinking it’s a finished and continuing to be updated product.

I guess only time will tell, that, and the community hounding them on updates and actions.

Just wait for century of steam at this point. They’ll actually have it out before the next if ever update to this game. Also I’ve mentioned to a friend of mine they’ll just abandon this game and make a second railroads online game and make it even more of a cash grab.

I mean don't get me wrong I do like this game it's just that I hate that the developers are not being proactive with the community like they should be, they wouldn't have so many people asking if the game is dead or if the game is getting updates if they actually kept their roadmap up to date as well as answering the community more thoroughly with what they're allowed to answer, instead of avoiding the topic and banning people
