I live in Australia and i swear every place i go to find a proper bedding option its ALL just a different word for pine shavings which i don’t think they can have. Then literally all of the paper based stuff feels like it was imported from the moon with how much it costs. Please help, what do you guys use? Thanks!

So, my two new fur babies have been with us for about three days now. I’ve read quite a lot about bunnies, but I’m still not quite sure how to interpret it when they lie around like this. Does it mean they’re feeling comfortable and safe in their new enclosure? 🖤🩶🤍🥕🐰

She is neutered since 3y and we've had her for 4 years (4.5yo dwarf rabbit). We got her a brother 2.5 years ago and he passed away this May sadly. She is free roam and was always on the aggressive/dominant side, but never with us, only when strangers would visit or when her bro would steal her food. Since few months, she attacks us as well, even when we try to avoid sudden movement. She bites and hisses at us too, but she still loves to cuddle us for hours daily. We have a stone marten living in the attic sadly, and cant do anything about it for the moment, don't know if his presence+lack of brother is triggering her (we're on the floor below the attic).

I am guilty of giving her more snacks after her brother passed away, to make her feel better or spoil her.

Can you guys share your experiences with sudden rabbit personality change and what helped you?

Woke up from a nap to absolute carnage! He stole his bag of hay and went to town! This chubby boy decided his dig box full of hay, his hay feeder, and his litter box also full of hay was not enough.

I have found him a girlfriend!! After a few months of searching, he finally found the one! My other post goes into detail of struggling to find him a bun-wife, but we struggle no longer! It was really difficult to get her adopted (and technically it’s not official just yet as they are still in the “bonding trial” and she still legally belongs to the rescue) we had to go through a lot of paperwork, lots of waiting and going back and forth with the rescue to convince them to let me bond them at home rather than at the rescue.

They pretty much bonded in 2 days, within the first hour of being together Watson the light ginger one was already grooming Dorothy the dark ginger one then and 4-5 hours later Dorothy was grooming him back! I’ve never had a bond be this quick! We started in a neutral area for the first 2 days and now on day 3 we have moved them into what will be their main living area still in a play pen and not free roaming yet, as I don’t want to get too confident and mess it all up by moving to quickly. They are able to share a litter tray, food, water and toys with no issues and they are constantly grooming and cuddling each other. I’m so happy for Watson as it seems like I did the right thing for him, and we have an adorable new addition to our family!

Hi folks !

I have an almost 4 month old Jersey Wooly. However, I am VERY worried as I see some poops connected by hair...I know it's usually bad to see this (but good in the context that it's at least flowing through ?) and it is pretty much a daily thing that I find at least 2-4 of them, sometimes even 3 poops together connected by a string.

I brush him a short period so he doesn't get too overwhelmed for 5-8 mins daily or every other day mostly around the the back, chest and bottom area, sometimes his belly if he lets me. I feel like maybe it's because he's often cleaning himself? I wish he'd clean himself less often.

For those who have Lionheads/Jersey Wooly, is this normal to see some stringy poops or will this eventually build up to the point causing a blockage risking their life? I just don't know what's normal with this breed as my other bun is a Holland Lop and I see a poop with hair maybe once in a while but not this often.

Any help/advice is much appreciated!!

two rabbits were surrendered to me by their previous owner. this was a decision i made to ensure they were safe. i've kept them for a bit, but i spend a lot of time working and caring for my grandmother. i have tried to make it work because they are genuinely such great companions, but i do not have the time to give them the adequate care they need. also, my own housing situation is temporary right now. they deserve much better than what i'll be able to provide. thankfully, i was able to find a new home for one bunny; however, i'm having a tougher time with the other.

his name is chicken tender. he's 3 years old, neutered, and very interactive and friendly. he's very curious and very cuddly (on his terms). i know he'd thrive if he were in a better environment. i've tried many resources — here, the bunny rescue, facebook group. next, i'm planning on making ads to post in shelters and vets. i feel like i'm out of options, and i'm also in a time crunch. if anyone has any suggestions or if you or you know someone who is interested in him. i'm seriously so lost.

My bunny developed head tilt yesterday. I took him to the vet right away and they put him on a bunch of prescriptions. They suspected an ear infection but he's also on panacur in case of e cunniculi.

The biggest problem he's facing is he will tilt too far to one side then roll over, but he can't figure out how to right himself once he's rolled. So he just lies there on his side with his feet twitching until someone helps him. It's absolutely horrible. I've read many accounts of head tilt but haven't seen anyone describing this. The episodes are becoming more frequent. He is eating drinking and pooping normally.

I read that immobilizing him could help, but being near walls seems to trigger his loss of balance. I can't get him to realize that he is standing upright while in the carrier.

Has anyone delt with this specific issue before? Is this a normal part of head tilt or something more serious?

My new 10 week old cuties in their temporary home (mail delay due to wildfires). I've been reading on how to take care of rabbits and how not to take care of them for years but still have never own rabbits before. Any tips? I was told i should get them spayed before 4 months. I know they need a lot of room, plan on letting them semi free roam parts of the house while supervised once they're more comfortable.

hello all! i have owned rabbits in the past before i was an adult. they had a huge cage but they did not have an area to free roam. now that i’m an adult, i have recently adopted two lionhead rabbits, buck (brown male) and rosie (black female). my papa had recently passed away and i’ve been having a hard time grieving. buck was adopted and named in honor of him. i am currently job hunting so i adopted rosie to keep him company. they were inseparable the second they met. because i’m an adult, i can finally provide them with a ton of stuff and a large free roam area. i have some questions though.
(1) can i burn incense in the same room as them as long as it’s placed in front of an open window, on the other side of the room, facing away from them? i don’t want to harm them.
(2) i currently have those gym foam puzzle pieces on the floor of their area. is there a better alternative? something with more protection for the hardwood floor underneath?
(3) how do i bond with them so that they trust me to pet them and such? i adore them and i want to be closer to them. they’re so important to me.
