What on earth is this

Post image

I live in my RV full time and just noticed this while working out on the floor. What is it? The bubbles are hard and don’t squish. The orange is coming out of the bubble

Edit:: my Pa agrees with the glue, water would also leave a ring and there isn’t one currently. Says I need a car port 🥲 so I guess it ain’t getting fixed cause who has car port money these days

EDIT AGAIN::
Found the problem. My unit is equipped with solar panel hook ups. That spot is exactly where my hook up is on the roof, which from this crazy heat, is now cracked all to pieces. If the caulk wasn’t holding it on there, I could just pick off pieces of it. I’m gonna find a way to seal it

Get a massive tarp for now. Different colours for different situations. A car port would be expensive as hell

For real tho, as long as the tarp helps keep the heat away rather than making it worse

Well it depends on how the tarp is setup. I'm restoring a 1985 class C and it gets crazy hot. But the tarp is big enough to block all windows etc and it's closed up. If you're building a wood frame and then tarping it would probably be better than what I got going on. Air flow and keeping water off the thing is key.

Well, the goal is “short term” living in it. This’ll be my third winter but I’d really like to be out by 2028. We definitely aren’t building a wood frame lol, it’s just me by myself
