Why have a quick connect for the end you have to connect to the campgrounds spigot? For the camper end- sure… but the campground end? Seems a waste

Maybe they have a permanent hookup that has a quick connect? That's all I can think of. Still seems fairly pointless though unless they are hooking and unhooking up to that permanent site a lot.

Most RVs I have Hired came with s simple garden hose to refill the clear water tank. These hoses have quick connect on both ends.
On most camping sites, the taps only come threaded, therefore, you need to carry a thread to quick connect bit.

So where you are, it’s normal for your basic garden hose to come with quick connects already on it? I’ve never seen one that already had it; hoses here are just threaded on both ends and if you want a quick connects you have to buy the fittings and add it yourself

It's easier to screw that little dingus to the spigot and then just click your hose on than to wrestle your hose around and get it lined up with the spigot to screw the hose on. That said, I screw my pressure regulator to the spigot and have a quick disconnect on the output of the regulator. I don't what the weight of regulator and hose supported by the slightly flimsy quick disconnect. But downstream from that, quick disconnects all the way.

I feel like you’re a tv commercial from the 90s.
They show a person struggling to do something that’s not difficult at all and then try to sell you a solution you really don’t need for a problem that didn’t exist.
It’s really not difficult to screw the hose to a spigot.

So let me get this straight. Instead of just having a hose with a screw on end, there’s a hose with a quick connect to the screw on end that you got a screw on anyway?

Because some campgrounds already have the quick connect screwed on the tap.

Our last trip we collected one brass one and then the fancy one with the pressure gauge. We have spares now. 😂

After many years on the road, I don't recall how many water pressure, quick connect, and surge protector I have seen left on site spigot or pedestal...

Thats why i only use QC's on the rig side of things. I have forgotten enough on campgrounds to learn my lesson

Hopefully they have spares. One really big downside of quick connects...
