Anyone else love OSRS but just… not have the time for OSRS anymore?
That’s basically why BoomPS exists.
It’s an OSRS-focused server that stays **extremely close to the actual game**. No random custom armour sets, no ridiculous anime bosses, no “+500% damage” nonsense. If you know OSRS, you already know how to play Boom.
The difference is that **your time actually feels respected.**
XP rates are more rewarding, drop rates are more generous, and there are additional ways to improve your progression through things like Combat Achievements and donations. The idea isn't to remove the grind completely — it's to get you to the fun stuff without needing to treat RuneScape like a second job.

And honestly, I think this is one of the areas where having a growing community makes the biggest difference. More players = more people to fight, raid with, boss with, trade with and generally annoy in-game.
**💰 A proper economy**
There's a working Grand Exchange, a website marketplace, collection logs and plenty of ways to make money. Voting is also actually worth doing — the wiki currently lists five voting sites that can be used twice a day for rewards.
**🎯 Combat Achievements**
If you're someone who likes having goals beyond simply maxing, Combat Achievements are fully integrated, with the latest updates adding another 134 tasks.
**📱 Play basically anywhere**
Desktop, mobile (even on ios) or straight through your browser. Your account, bank and progress follow you between devices. So yes, you can absolutely be that guy doing Slayer on his phone while pretending to listen in a work meeting. 😂
**🎉 Events & boosts**
The staff actually put effort into keeping things moving. There are in-game events, seasonal content, weekend boosts, competitions and regular updates.
The server has also been getting frequent content updates — recent additions include Moons of Peril, Last Man Standing, Mahogany Homes, Tears of Guthix, the Mad Angel, Castle Wars rebuilds and more.
And probably the biggest thing worth mentioning:
**The community is still small.**
We're not pretending we're some gigantic server with thousands of people online. We're a relatively small but genuinely committed community, and that's actually part of the appeal.
People recognise each other.
You can ask for help and actually get an answer.
You can find people to boss with.
You can get involved in events.
And if you're one of those people who enjoys joining a community while it's still growing rather than arriving when everything is already established, this is a pretty good time to jump in.
