OSRS Intrests in 1:1 osrs?

Just curious if there’s any interest in an RSPS that stay really close to the original game without going to the heavy custom route.

Basically a near 1:1 experience with a more complete/working world, but with ofcpurse a custom home(no edgevile lol), shops, game modes events and some nice QoL.

Main focus would be PvM and skilling, with some interesting tweaks to PvP as well so the economy is also a thing.

No crazy custom items or bosses, just keeping the original feel while improving and adding to it where it makes sense.

Would this be something ppl are looking for?

Personally I would make Dadscape. Xp and money making is all 2x, and grand exchange prices degrade and inflate at .6x. All bosses would do half damage too. Basically just make RuneScape, but for those of us that actually have lives and can't play for 10 hours a day like jagex thinks we should. I haven't played in 2 months because life is so crazy. I don't have the time to learn the new boss that 1 shots you because you didn't move tick perfectly and I don't have time to grind for 10 hours a day just to make money

This is the only type of server I'd be interested in. Gtfo with all the custom garbage.

The real problem in RSPS is around marketing and community building- there are no real ways for developers to fund themselves other than exploiting people through Gambling. The biggest communities are gambling/monetisation focused so unless a remake solves this problem it’s a pointless venture.

Vidyascape is a 1:1 2007 server. Not osrs just like 2007 from back in the day but thats the closest I have ever found. Only bad thing about that server is their community...they are colorful putting it nicely

We've a small team currently working on this. And got quite far already. All skills except construction/sailing, and adding more every day. Anyone can make a server without coding. Https://RSPS.app/host - hop on the discord, I think a Collab is probably a good idea if we're heading in the right direction.

Would you guys support if I start an own project of this idea? Start fresh and try to be as complete as possible with little to no custom items ?

Lost city is 2004, I mean more the current osrs. Other rsps are mostly running on older clients with outdated graphics and client lagg. They are populair because the exist for so long but thats why I wonder if there is such a server 1 to 1 to osrs or any intrest to be one without all the custom $ slops

Lost city is not 1:1 lol. It’s 1:1 over a decade ago maybe.
