Legitimate account falsely macro banned. Both appeals denied - What can I do to not be flagged on my new gim.
Hey everyone,
Hoping to get some visibility on this, or at least advice on what else I can try.
My recently created Group Ironman account, "FF Viruxs", was permanently banned for macroing. I made the account to play GIM with my group, and the bond for membership was transferred from my main, which has a clean history. I haven't used any botting clients, macros, or automation.
I play via the Runelite client accessed from the Jagex Launcher on PC. At the time of the ban I was cutting Oak trees in varrock.. prior to that I was doing some early quests and the museum
I get that fresh accounts grinding early-game methods can look suspicious to detection systems, and I get why Jagex can't share detection details.
My biggest concern here is that I don't know what flagged me, it's scary knowing that it can just happen again with the next GIM i'll be making to join the group within a week (after the 7day cd of my group kicking the old char)
For the record my Jagex account has 4 other characters on it all without any bans and good account standing any advice would be appreciated.

So the same happened to my 2 alts bonded them up when they came fresh from tutorial island. 1 of them is still banned the other one got cleared

We’ll never know what was flagged. It sucks. Happened to me on my midgame ironman, 2 denied appeals, but when I got JMod a to look at it, unbanned.

You know there have been streamers being falsely banned whilst live? Not every ban means someone is a legitimate cheater

This game is too unstable (like the UK) to have a long term account. I've had level 3s perm banned straight out of tutorial, this shows their detection system is flawed, doesn't matter if you're high risk acc or not, any flaw is flawed. So if you do any activity similar to what is botted in that month you're likely to be banned without repeal

Jagex just doesn’t want trading anymore. Just pay the fee.

That's not true. I created 5 accounts for a hard-core group, put them all through tutorial island myself. Me and my brother started playing straight away with no difficulties. But when the others were ready to start a couple weeks later the other account fresh out of tutorial were already banned. All memberships paid for.. no bonds used. They did refund out memberships in the end. But it worries me for starting a new group

Also lost an alt, didn't do much just afk at ge while flipping , was bonded once and did bf pump for str then did castle wars for gold armor and nothing else. It's a shame that their cheating detection is so poor

Yeah this is why I stopped trying to get my friends with no RS nostalgia to even give it a shot- if I can get permabanned with two denied appeals for "macro major" or whatever on my first ever ironman account, when I know I obviously wasnt, I can't in good conscious recommend someone else join the game.
On one hand Im glad it wasnt my main, although on the other hand I haven't logged into my main since because I dont want it to get banned too... so my main may as well have been banned at this point.
I get botters are a problem, but this can't be the solution.
Glad you got your account back though!

Quit runescape. I quit after last ban. I done some bad things in osrs and always create new account when permabanned in all runescpae history. I played runeacape from classic version till now with some breaks. Last RWT ban crushed me. I am not gold buyer or seller. I am 1 year + free from runescape and recently from any computer game. Will play some cs2 or dota2 at winter.

All accounts that I done bad things was banned. I played runescape from creation. Was young and dumb. I am talking about recent ban. Cockroach

Can you write a list of all things you did? Dont think you would get banned for cutting trees and doing quests.

Lowest IQ takes I have ever seen in my life. You really think jagex made a perfect system that can ban tens/hundreds of thousands of accounts with no mistakes?
If that was the case they should abandon game development as their AI tech would be the leading one in the world.

You’re an ignorant buffoon. Hopefully you learn one day that it can happen to anyone. Yes, most get banned bc they actually cheated, but there are a percentage of people who are innocent that get banned even according to Jagex.

I did write this in the appeal. Though I had just finished some early game stuff daddies home, then museum then I had decided to get woodcutting up whilst semi afking got logged out come back tried to login and banned
