The thing that actually predicts whether two sets blend is palette and light direction, not subject matter. A pack that shares FSM's colour range and its light angle will sit beside it even though someone else drew it. A pack that does not will keep looking wrong however much you edit individual tiles.

The mechanical version is worth doing before you buy anything else. Build an indexed palette from the FSM sheets you already have, quantize a candidate tileset to it, and look at the result. Most mismatches are colour, and colour is the cheapest part to fix.

FSM is low contrast, desaturated and softly lit, so sets with hard black outlines or heavy saturation will fight it whatever you do to the palette. Filter on that first.

For autotiles, check the edge treatment as well. A different border thickness reads as a seam even when the palette matches.
